Car park clearly states it shuts at 6pm and and when I arrived at 5:57 due my kid’s appointment running late, security were already locking the gates, I asked to be let in and was refused I said it’s only 5:57 and still had 3 minutes to collect my car but security wouldn’t let me and my two young kids in. I wasn’t braking any rules, I asked to see the manager and he let me out with of course paying the over night charge!!! Don’t ever use this car park! The spaces are small and not to mention all the bird dropping and nests rotting out the top floor! Absolutely disgusting behaviour

ERO stars not allowed so you get 1 which I take away from you. , how can a place get zero stars. This place literally made my families lives a misery. Holidaying in Devon. This place locks up and lock your car with it. Regardless of signs that can be missed, we just missed the door as it was being locked up. No compassion for a family of 4 as security turned their back and walked away. Children 6 and 2, me and my partner had just been made homeless. No car with our caravan keys in the car. Repeated requests shouting through window were ignored. Not just that the site was over 15 miles away. Police not interested and advised to go to A and E for shelter. DO NOT SHOP HERE. They do not care for your welfare and are quite happy to make tourists homeless, even with that knowledge. They even charged me the 24 hour parking forced upon me. At the very least let holiday makers have their keys back, security is mean, heartless and disgusting even in the face of apparent tragedy as my partner and kids crying

Parking In Barnstaple

Blue Badge Holders parking

‘On-street’ parking meters and pay-and-display machines

Badge holders may park for free and for as long as they need to unless there is a traffic sign specifying a time limit for holders of disabled parking badges. You must display your Blue Badge. Where a time limit is in force, you must also display the special blue parking disc showing your time of arrival.

‘On-street’ disabled parking bays

These have a Blue Badge sign (some may still be orange). You may park free and without time limit unless signs say otherwise (check local signs for information). You must display your Blue Badge. Always try to use these bays instead of parking on yellow lines.

Yellow lines

Badge holders may park on single or double yellow lines for up to three hours. You must display your Blue Badge and the special blue parking disc showing your time of arrival. You must wait for at least one hour after a previous period of parking before you can park the same vehicle in the same road or part of a road on the same day.

Off-street car parks (such as supermarket or local authority car parks)

Most car park operators provide parking spaces for disabled people. However, it is up to the car park owner to decide whether badge holders can park free of charge. Do not assume you can always park for free.
