Difficult to find a space. Full up early. Lots of builders vans too so narrow spaces. Car park staff rude when you need assistance at ticket machines!

Parking at London Heathrow Airport

London Heathrow airport consists of five terminals 1-5, all of which have a number of short and long stay car parks.

Passenger pick-up and drop off

There are set-down lanes outside the terminals. You may unload on the terminal forecourt but waiting is not permitted.  If you are meeting someone from a flight you must use a Short Stay car park.

Short-term stay

If you are parking at Heathrow for just a few hours then you will need to park in a short stay car park. Heathrow Short Stay Parking can be found next to each of the terminals and is recommended for stays of up to five hours.

All the short stay car parks have a general height limit of 2 metres (6ft 9in). Vehicles up to 2.6 metres (8ft 9in) may park on the roof of Short Stay Car Park 4 (serving Terminal 4) and vehicles up to 2.4 metres (8ft) may park on the ground floor of Short Stay Car Park 3 (serving Terminals 1, 2 and 3). For any further information please call 0870 850 2825.

Long-term stay

If you are staying for more than a few days, you will need to use one of Heathrow's Long Stay car parks. Parking Express Heathrow is the official Heathrow Long Stay Car Park, serving Terminal 1, 2, 3 and 4. There is also a new Long Stay Car Park specifically for Terminal 5 passengers.

The Long Stay Car Parks are open all year round with a courtesy coach service connecting them to the terminals. The transfer service runs every 10 minutes to Terminals 1, 2 and 3 with a journey time of 8 to 15 minutes. For Terminal 4, the service runs every 12 minutes and takes approximately 8 minutes. For Terminal 5, the service runs every 10 minutes and takes approximately 10 minutes.

A number of companies such as Q-Park and Courtlands also operate off airport car parks and Meet and Greet services.

Discounts upwards of 50% available when you pre-book long stay car parks.

Business Parking

If you are looking for Heathrow parking, which is even closer to the airport terminals with an even more frequent and fast transfer service, Heathrow Business Car Parks will suit your requirements. Heathrow Business Car Parks are suitable for all travellers parking for a number of days.

Valet Parking

Heathrow airport Valet Parking allows you to drop your car off on the terminal forecourt and have it delivered back to the terminal forecourt when you return.

The Heathrow airport Valet Parking service can be enhanced by adding Car Care service. If you select this service you will receive a two star professional hand car wash and interior valet.

Heathrow Valet Car Parking can be pre-booked or you can simply turn up o your day of departure and drive to the drop-off point. The Heathrow Valet Parking reception points are open from 05:30 to 22:00.
