Northampton General Hospital - Car Park 1

After driving around for nearly an hour I had to miss my appointment as it was impossible to find a space. Your APNR system does not explain what happens when you drive in and then out again within the hour. It would be helpful if this was explained as the whole process is very stressful

Ticket machine 10 at 9.18 am 5/9 took money and did not give ticket. No staff availabile had appointment to keep !

No ticket after paying cash. Would not issue ticked for card payment. Tried SMS and it kept asking for different things then said I had to register an account! Insane!

Someone needs to go round and check the disable parking as there’s people parking that shouldn’t be there and across the yellow lines terrible need to be done and fine

An absolute nightmare to park. Never enough spaces, pay machines very often don’t work. It’s stressful enough attending hospital without having to try and find and pay for parking. Warwick has got an ANPR and you tap your reg in when you leave much easier.

Minimum charge is £3.20, a shocking price. Never any spaces.

No disabled parking spaces in car park 1 because it has been taken over by a construction sight and being built on. They have not even put new ones in for people. who need these spaces. I can't use a normal parking space due to being completely wheelchair bound so I am now tempted to next time just park in the staff car park next door. Where there are always available disabled parking spots that hardly ever have any people using them. If I end up just getting a ticket then I have no problem disputing it. Disabled people have the same rights to be able to park like everyone else especially in a hospital.

Car parking at General Hospital in Northampton is currently free. It would be helpful if website was updated.

Machines swallow change. Don't give ticket. Parking office closed on the weekend. No contact available until Monday.

No disabled bays so I parked next to the others not obstructing in anyway with my blue badge I got a ticket for not being in a bay even though I wasn’t causing any problems. That whole front carpark should be disabled but that would not make any money I was in so much pain and they do that to sick people to line they’re own pockets. Disgusting

Parking attendants only interested in issueing parking charges (not fines so not valid) instead of helping people to find a parking spaces so they don’t miss their appointments. It’s scandalous. Shame on you NHFT.

very few spaces left, unclear signage, parked in staff car by accident and got a parking fine, no signs on multi storey top level to inform you its staff parking only. You have been warned

Often difficult to find a place at peak times. I've been half an hour late for an appointment due to difficulties finding a place. You might want to try Midsummer Meadow car park nearby.
