Liverpool Royal hospital should be ashamed for promoting this car park as the one to use if you need to attend the hospital for any reason. A total rip off and worse of all they are taxing the sick and or relatives of the sick. The chief exec and the board should hang their heads in shame.

Terrible payment facility. So many slots, scanners buttons, hard to know what to do to pay. Eventually found credit card slot and got a 'receipt'. Drove to exit barrier and inserted said receipt. Machine spat it out under the car. Had to reverse to retrieve it. Tried again, kept spitting it out. Pressed intercom, no reply. Big queue behind. Went to office whch was closed - out on patrol. Phoned number on sign for help. Engaged. Finally voice on intercom let me out. I swear the payment machine did not give me back my ticket. Need to make it a whole lot easier. Absolutely ridculous. Next time, park over the road for £3.50. Save money and hassle.

This car park is an absolute rip of !!! Robbing people's money for trying to visit sick loved ones friends and family. students also go to work here for nothing and pay 40 pound a week to park here !!

Totaly overpriced for a hospital car park. No reductions for disabled badge holders. Too far from the hospital to be usefull to disabled users. An utter disgrace and a slap in the face of people having to use or visit the hospital. Badly planned and thought out. Built for greed not need.

There are over 1500 on-street parking spaces in the city centre which operate on a 'pay and display' basis. The charge hours are 8am - 6pm, seven days a week, and the fees are as follows:

Inner zone
Up to ½ hour: £1.00
Up to 1 hour: £2.00
Up to 1½ hours: £3.00
Up to 2 hours: £4.00

Outer zones
Up to ½ hour: 70p
