Paid and still received a PCN - not only that but received the initial letter after the date I was able to appeal it!!! £100 fine for something I didn't do wrong. DO NOT use this car park

Avoid this car park - lots of unfriendly faces about looking into cars once people leave the car park. Very unsafe at night, no cameras or lighting.

This car park is very handy for Derby city centre, especially the back end of town near Friar Gate and the restaurants within it. Location wise, the car park is extremely good value for such a central location, especially for long stays. The security isn't fantastic. The walls of the car park have long gone so the cars are on constant display to those walking down the badly lit and un CCTV'd back streets. Equally, the upkeep of the location is fairly neglected, the ground needs resurfacing badly and to make matters worse, most of the spaces in the center are painted at such an unusual angle that it would be impossible to park your car completely within the lines unless you owned a smart car! Payment is very easy though, however. You first must input your number plate for verification (and to avoid sharing tickets) before being able to pay by cash, card or phone which makes life a lot easier. If you are looking for good value, this is definitely the car park for you.
