Large 3hrs Free Parking notice. Very small notice advising 30 mins or £5 spend instore.

Be carefully as these machines crash quite often tell you ,you are free to go where infact you have not been validated, cost me 30 pounds fine as I could not prove I had a voucher as I threw it away but my bank shows I spent £39 36p on date in question and only spent 1hrs 30 on car park.Very hard to get to talk to tesco or the car park company,unless it's to pay your fine.

We went to stay at W-S-M for 3 nights in November and we parked at Tesco’s for about 45 minutes. Did our shopping and left. We have just been delivered a fine. I never noticed signs or pay stations. I spent over £5 at the self service tills. The signs need to be clearer and all more obvious. The car park was fairly empty. Well W-S-M we won’t be rushing back. Very sour taste!

There are signs informing shoppers of the conditions (details on the signs attached to the lighting posts). The tills automatically print car park information. And the validation machines are now next to the store entrance/exit. You can also do your validation online. Given that the store is near the centre of the town, I think this is reasonable.

I'm not from the W-S-M area and it's not clear that if you stay longer than 30 minutes you need to spend at least £5 which I did but importantly get the parking validated.
