Great car park for the Colston Hall, Hippodrome or the Academy. Council run so not bad on charges. Also in good condition, brightly lit, with staff on patrol. Can sometimes jam up after a performance with everyone trying to leave. Lifts only operate with a ticket. If arriving after 6pm, pay for your parking before going to the concert to avoid queues at the pay stations. Pay stations take cards and cash and give change. Overall a good experience.

I used this car park to visit the colston hall which is just across the road so it is idea. it is a large covered car park which is well lite and has bigger than normal spaces. there were plenty of pay points which were working. I was there from 5pm until 11.30 pm and it only cost me £4.50.

Big and central, this car park can get very busy. But you can find a space. Bit odd to drive up as you drive up on the 'wrong' side of the road, but not a big issue. Some outside parking, but mostly undercover. Can be scary at night and lifts need to be 'swiped' with your ticket before using - doesn't always work. I park here regularly as is convenient and well priced.

Love this car park!
It's very convenient for me as I work in Bristol Haematology and Oncology Center.
The price is fantastic for a full day. Very secure and easy to get in and out.

This is one of Bristol's best car parks, in my opinion. Some of the bays themselves are quite tight, but the car park overall is spacious, and the turns to go up and down the ramps are quite wide. I've often thought that it must have been designed by an architect who drove a 'proper' architect's car, i.e. a Jag large enough to fit a plan table inside. The prices are reasonable, being lower than NCP's, and there are usually plenty of spaces. You get the occasional glitch with the ticket machines, but do remember that they are computers and therefore prone to the odd glitch or two.

I've parked here on and off over the years, i live 35 miles away.
I used Trenchard Street car park most recently last month in Dec 2013 on a weekday from 9pm- to 12pm.
On entering from the street there were plenty of spaces on the ground level so i parked there and then was able to walk straight out.
The lighting inside the car park was was very bright and i could see everything very well.
On my return i couldn't remember where the paying machines where, luckily there was a member of staff cleaning up across from my car, so i asked him and he told me there was one in the stairwell.
The paying machine worked fine, although it didn't like or except any of my 5 pence pieces i put in it. Luckily it took cards and i was able to pay for my ticket with my debit card.
Again the area was well light up.
Parking of the whole evening was £2.50. So the charges shown on here do seem to be correct. I will use this car park again as i'm starting to come here and socialize more often. The location is very handly fo

Used this carpark 05/11/13. Very handy for the Hippodrome & Colston Hall. Prices as per website, i.e. £1 an hour during day and £2.50 for the evening after 6pm. Machines working fine.

Be aware that tickets don't always work in the machines and the emergency telephones don't work so you have to call the number on the ticket. This leaves you at the mercy of a uniformed jobs worth. Good luck.
