Buses to the city centre (Clock Tower in Queen's Road - for Churchill Square; North Street stop C - for The Lanes, North Laine and Old Steine) will run every 15 minutes (Monday to Saturday daytimes) and hourly during the late evenings and on Sundays. This frequency enhancement is contracted to the city council.
The return fare on the bus is £3.60: this is a "City Saver" ticket which is also valid on other Brighton & Hove bus routes for a day's unlimited travel. Children 0-4 go free; those aged 5 - 13 pay 90p each way. For children accompanied by an adult there's a 40p return fare. The England National Bus Pass is also valid.
Although stopping en route, service 27 does offer a wider choice of destinations - including Brighton Station, Sea Life Centre and all points along Marine Parade.
Commuting by Park & Ride
The cost of commuting has come down as all 'Saver' tickets will be valid. This means it will be possible to take advantage of savings from the longer period 'Saver' tickets, which can be bought online at www.buses.co.uk, or from any post office or One Stop Travel shop. 'Saver' tickets also allow unlimited travel on all other Brighton & Hove bus services in the city (except City Sightseeing and Night Buses).
