A lot cheaper than the official station car park and felt safe enough on returning after dark on a winter's evening. Maybe a little further to walk than station car park but depends on what platform you need! Good to read that it seems safe for overnight parking. And for the disabled visitor, I think if you had gone into the NRM's own car park you would have had free parking. Signage is a little confusing when you arrive and maybe the respective owners could improve that.

I have parked here overnight on a couple of occasions with no concerns. It is very convenient for the station as there is direct access into the rear of the station, is significantly cheaper than parking in the station car parks and you can pay via phone so don't need to worry about having the right change for the parking meter.

Beware - I visited the Railway museum with my parents who both have disability badges - we assumed that the parking would be free - but on return after 4 hours we had a £40 ticket. After reading signs it clearly stated that ALL disabled have to pay as well as non - disabled persons. If you read the text on the car park here it boasts about 3 disabled parking spaces out of 400+ - I think they need to cater for more disabled persons and also review the scandalous charge that they apply for a fine. Typical of today.

I needed to park for more than 2 days. I could not put more than £12 on my card. I needed to catch my train and I now need to make contact with the car park operator to ensure that I can make good the payment to the time I expect to return. It would be helpful if the information on this page could give a contact number.

£2.50 all day at weekends.
If you need to park for Sat & Sun it costs £5.40 you need to phone the number with your car and payment details rather than use the pay and display.
Very good value and right next to the station.
