They have a pothole when you enter the car park and exiting

They don't close the gates so, although you are allowed to par for 2 hours when shopping. Leaving the car in there when the shops have closed they give you ticket. The sign does not say you must leave car if car if shops closed. Did some shopping, went to get something to eat nearby, and returned within two hours only to get a ticket. Daylight Robbery.

Parking in Shad Thames (London, SE1)

Shad Thames, also known as Butler's Wharf, is an area in South London bounded by the River Thames, Tower Bridge Road, Tooley Street, Mill Street and St. Saviour's dock.

Parking around Shad Thames can be a bit difficult during the day if you do not have an allocated residential parking permit, as the area is within a Controlled parking zone (CPZ), meaning that only residents can park on some of the streets Mon-Fri 8:30-18:30.

If you are visiting the area on a weekday during the day, use pay and display or there is a also Q-Park car park on Gainsford street which is in the heart of Shad Thames.
