I ended up paying twice. My car was recognized at the pay machine and I paid 2 pounds, however my car was not recognized at the exit barrier so I had to pay again as a queue was forming. Unacceptable.

I ended up paying 2£ extra for the parking. The self pay kisosk parking machine did not recognise my car number so I paid 2£ there and then I drove to the exit ,the barrier would not raise so had to pay again to get out as I was holding up others behind no way to see anyone for help. This is really bad and very frustrating experience.

Pouring with rain today and long queue at pay on foot machines. Tried to pay at the barrier on exit and the barrier just lifted so hope I don’t get fined! Worrying when you try to be honest and pay

Parked for less than an hour to get covid jab. Tried 3 times but machine did not recognise my car registration number. When I pressed for assistance robotic lady was less than helpful. Know found out I have been charged £12.00 car parking fee! NEVER use this car park as no tickets issued and problems all the time but no way to contact anyone to resolve. STAY CLEAR unless you can walk there.

Parked yesterday afternoon so I could go and have my Covid Jab. The machine would not accept my car number plate. Went to the exit with the intention of paying but the barrier just lifted. You really need to sort out your machines and software. I have heard of others having the same problem.

I parked in the Kemble Drive Swindon car park. After less than 2 hours shopping. To make my payment I stood in a queue for 15 minutes as people were having trouble at machines, clearing not working properly. I entered my vehicle registration but the machine did not recognised my registration. Eventually I pressed honesty payment, but I am not sure if the machine took the £1 car payment. The barrier let me exit. So I hope no fine issued as I have no evidence of my payment. I do have concerns about using this car park again.

Entered the car park. Entered my registration 3 times, the machine would not recognise it. Someone said it does not recognise it , the barrier will let you out. It did. This is the only car park I have trouble with, even when it was tickets. Iwill not be using it again.

Today I stood in a queue in the rain for 10 minutes as people were having trouble at machines.. I entered my car registration 3 times said not recognised . Eventually I pressed honesty payment and it took a £1 on my card . As we have a Blue Badge I was going to enter the number for a discount but couldn’t get machine to that point . May I suggest having a member of staff there to help people as I was not the only one having trouble today .

Charged £12.00 for less than 1 hour and you can’t find a way to appeal

Spent longer queuing to pay at one of 2 unbroken machines than I did shopping

Parking In Swindon

Parking for People with Disabilities

Parking for people with disabilities is free in Swindon except in the Brunel North, Brunel West and Fleming Way car parks (where the tariff is the same as for other customers) and most car parks have designated spaces for this group of people.

When parked, valid disabled badges must be on display at all times and there is no limit on the length of stay.

Swindon also has its own Shopmobility car park, on the ground floor of the Wyvern Car Park. This has up to 26 dedicated bays for Shopmobility users (during open hours only) and eight dedicated Blue Badge Bays available.
