Lakeside Retail Park

Visted the gym and after went into Sports Direct, got a £100 fine for overstaying the 2 hours allocated. 2 hours is ridiculous how on earth are you meant to get everything done in such a short space of time! No wonder the shops are closing left right and centre! These car parking firms are nothing more than crooks!

Avoid this car park like the plague. The car park is patrolled by semi covert litter patrol nazi's. If you are careless or oblivious to dropping litter you will get hit by a £150 fine. May I add, there's no litter bins in the car park either. It's not about the environment, it's about revenue. I'll never return.

Charged €100 for parking outside the white lines although the disputed space is an unmarked parking area

Despicable to find that I've been fined for just over 2 hours of parking. Where are the very clear large signs warning drivers. Stop going there and reduce their revenue as they clearly don't want customers to enjoy the shopping experience. Why don't they just do the decent thing and charge per hour instead of extorting £50 an hour.

Went to have a look round IKEA and did a shop at the big Tesco for my 50th birthday party. When we got out a men approached my husband and fined him £150 for putting out a cigarette on the ground. Happy Birthday to me!!! No signs no reduction for quick payment. Will not be going back. Such a good way to encourage shoppers in this day and age.

Can never get a disabled bay and get abused when I ask someone illegal parked in one to move, start fining these people or let us report then so they may be fined

i am disabled but can never park in a disable spot because there are loads of people parked there with no blue badge, they should be fined but i have never seen anyone round lakeside checking these people out

Parked at Lakeside and visited various shops Decathlon Sports Direct and Go Outdoors, spent quite a bit of money and then slapped with a £100.00 fine on top, its discusting,have shopped at Lakeside for years, since when has a retail park charged for parking when others are free elsewhere

When did the car parking fines come into play? I looked for signs the other day. Nothing visible in eye line. I have spent my money in this retail park for years. It is thieving robbing car parking companies that are killing shops. How can you shop in the retail park and have lunch in two hours. People will just shop online. The worst part of it is the underhand disgusting sneaky way in which it is done. I would have more respect if they just started charging for parking. Thieving,robbing ,greedy dishonest companies. Hope people stop going and they go bust.

Parked over the white line as I have a baby seat in the back of a 2 door vehicle so need the space to open my door fully to get her in and out. £100 fine, whilst visiting Dunelm. Maybe if parking spaces were of a reasonable size and you had more mother and baby I wouldn't need to do this. Gross behavior in a world that's struggling to get back on its feet!!!!

Disgusting tactics to fine people for parking! Be careful not to be 1mm over white line and be aware that there is now overstay fines after 2 hours. Parking cheats the lowest of the low again!

Just appeal .. The landowner does not charge for parking on this site and I therefore did not prevent anyone else from parking and did not prevent the landowner from earning money. Therefore no loss has been incurred by the landowner and any penalty to me is a wholly disproportionate penalty.

Went to decathlon today, had to park 6 inches outside the line where there was only a very small space that was only 2ft in size. Bought a bike for my daughter for Christmas and could only just get it in the car. I would have been fine but the car the other side had parked right on the line and didn't get a ticket! I won't be using lakeside again. Its an absolute joke in these hard times where we all try and shop locally.

Spent over £300.00 in sports direct ... and other various stores ... parked within the lines .... as I was there for 2 hrs 10mins received a fine of £100.00 ... will take if further but won’t be going back !!!!

I'm extremely disappointed with the parking system at Lakeside Retail Park. How can you walk around all the shops in two hours. In addition to the £200 I spent on Christmas presents there. I have been rewarded with a £100 fine. Merry Christmas to you to Lakeside Retail Park. In the future I will be going elsewhere!!!!!

After shopping around for a bike in the many stores with bikes there. I have been slapped with a £100 fine. So really the cost of the bike I bought at Halfords has doubled. Thanks rip offs. Won’t come back and shop here.

Realise that lakeside isn’t worth going too. Not when you can’t park and shop without fear of a £100 fine. Terrible treatment of a customer. Don’t shop here. Go Bluewater it’s free.
