Summer period: 1 November to 28/29 February. Winter period: 1 March to 31 October.
After appealing my parking ticket September 4th im pleased to say my appeal was upheld. Common sense prevailed. I do think the instructions on the tariff board should be more clear all it says is disabled driver's pay £1.50 ,for fours hours.
I parked in the disabled bay ,checked tariff on notice board £1.50 for 4 hours with disabled badge, paid my money get ticket ,all in Welsh, put ticket and badge on dashboard with time on badge. I returned to my car in 1 hour 16 minutes thinking I had a few more hours. I had a parking ticket on windscreen for over staying I pointed this out to the parking officer that I was allowed 4 hours, he looked at the tariff sign and told me to appeal all the disabled parking in the bays I was in had the parking tickets. One person paid for 8 hours and still had a ticket. I'm waiting now to see if my appeal is upheld. A big jump from 1.50to £50 Needless to say ill give Swansea a miss in future they are as bad as the Parking Cowboys.
Car park does what it says on the tin but winter charging is unfair. Apparently we have an 8 month summer in Swansea! If only that were true. This effects local business and those that want to use the beach and sea (a free resource) for exercise all year round.
Summer time yes I don’t mind but out of season is bad to charge
