I used to hold an annual permit to use this car park, which is not monitored. Drivers who ignore the marked spaces, restricting access, especially for disabled motorists like me, are not challenged. My car was badly damaged by another driver, in my absence. When I returned, many vehicles were parked haphazardly and outside the normal markings. I pointed this out to the trustees responsible for the site, but, although they admitted knowing there was a problem, they didn’t seem to care at all. At the time, about half the site was being used as a store for building materials, making the likelihood of damage much greater. The Kendal (Kirkland) Trust profit considerably from people using this site and I find it disgraceful that they should have such scant regard for what happens there.

Parking In Kendal

Parking for Blue Badge holders

Off-street - Car Parks

Charges apply for all Blue Badges holders in car parks owned by South Lakeland District Council. Please read the information on each tariff  board as this will explain when charges apply on that particular car park.

In a Car Park, if all the disabled spaces are occupied, you can park in any other space with your badge displayed (apart from Level 3 South Lakeland House Car Park).

On-street - Timed Bays for Disabled and Double/Single Yellow Lines

Please display the Blue Badge in the correct manner when parking on street. Clocks should be used (set to time of arrival) when parking for up to three hours on double and single yellow lines. Please remember not to cause an obstruction.
