Pepper Street

We were staying overnight in Chester on Monday July 22. We went to park in Pepper street car park. We went up to the 5th floor. The driveway was very narrow for two way traffic, it proved quite dangerous. The warning signs stating to drive in the parking lots forward driving were not visible due to the cars being in tight spaces. It was easier to reverse in. Our back windscreen was shattered due to the low sitting concrete. The spaces are not even fit for small cars. The two way system is an accident waiting to happen especially up and down the ramps. It is outrageous that Apcoa are being so greedy. The signs in place are not fit for purpose because they are not visible when the car park is busy. We had £2:50 to Pay for the pleasure of entering this absolute nightmare of a car park. No response from apcoa on emailing them. Shouldn't even have one star

The worst car park in the UK is about to get worse as they develop the rooftop hospitality venue. This ludicrously tight car park with its minuscule spaces and narrow roadways will be reduced to 200 spaces. Not good if you are a contract holder. Putting as many as 320 people up on the rooftop has raised serious concerns about fire safety the adequacy of the fire escapes. Avoid using this car park if possible and certainly if you drive anything larger than a Fiat 500.

Parking spaces in this dreadful car park are about to be reduced to 200 as there is a plan to put a rooftop hospitality venue on the top levels. There are very genuine concerns that the stair cores are not adequate to cope with a further 320 persons on the rooftop if a serious fire were to break out below. At the very least a sprinkler system should be fitted, given the increased risk to the public.

Dark. Narrow parking spaces can barely open car door. Narrow drive ways hard to drive out of spaces as opposite cars are so close.

Didn’t give the option to give no stars . Ridiculous small spaces, shattered our rear view windscreen on the concrete over hang and if car park if full, you can’t see the warning signs as the pared cars obstruct them . Too narrow for cars to pass safely on way out or in. Avoid at all costs

Worst car park in UK. After travelling over 50 towns and cities for work this is the worst car park ever. Dark, narrow and dangerous should be closed!

Terrible experience. No room for two vehicles to pass. Tiny spaces. Lots of frustrated drivers trying to leave. No changes since APCOA took over from NCP except even more expensive.

Unimaginabley bad carpark. Smashed my rear windscreen reversing into a bay which has a huge concrete overhang. Too narrow to escape, avoid at all costs!

Terrible car park with spaces too close and very little room to pass. Smashed the rear screen whilst reversing into the bay due to the ridiculous concrete overhang. Driving in forward is virtually impossible due to cramped spaces - was probably designed by someone who rides a push bike. Avoid at all costs

The worst car park that I have ever visited anywhere in the UK. Spaces are ridiculously narrow and the low horizontal concrete barriers above the parking bays will cause vehicle damage if you attempt to reverse park. The car park is not fit for purpose and is not worthy of even one star!

If I could give no stars I would! This car park should shut it is dangerous. The way is also the way out going down to levels. The bays and drive are far to narrow. What happens when there is a fire!!!!

Worst car park I have ever been in. Like parking in a coffin. Spaces are ridiculously narrow and am dreading trying to get out when I leave in the morning. Would give no stars if I could!

If I could give no stars I would. Absolutely awful car park. The spaces are tiny, and it’s really narrow to manoeuvre with no one way system in place. Very high chance that you will damage your car, or someone will damage it trying to get out of a space or driving around the car park.

Worst car park I've ever been to. It's claustrophobic for my liking and got worried about how to get out of the place. Best place to park in there is at level 8/ 9. No room for two 2 cars to pass. I got anxious as I was getting out of there. Really would not recommended anyone going there at all and too expensive for what it is.

If I could give it no stars I would. Same way in and out and as the parked cars are stuck out on each side as the bays are not deep or wide enough two cars cannot pass. There is also not enough room on the ramps to turn going up or down if another car is coming in the other direction. Very dangerous. Feel lucky to have got out without a scrap or an incident. Will not use it again. Avoid at all costs. Also very expensive.

Absolutely horrendous. Worst car park I have ever been to in my life!!!! There is not enough space for two vehicles to pass each other. The way in and out is the same route!!!! We was stuck in the car park for 45 minutes due to cars being stuck not able to pass each other!!!!! We paid £5 for our ticket and by the time we got to the exit we had to pay another £2.50. Absolutely disgusting should be ashamed as yourselves!!!! Avoid like the plague!!!

Awful. The way out is the same as the way in and there's not enough room for 2 cars to pass. The spaces are too narrow so you have to get out of your car before you park and your car sticks out the end of a space so is vulnerable to being hit/scraped. Avoid at all costs!

This is without doubt the worst car park ever! No space At all . This needs to have a one way circulation of traffic and wider spaces! Avoid if you can.

Very difficult for two cars to pass and if your in two opposing queues then it can grind to a halt - avoid.

Terrible car park. Very narrow spaces and very narrow lane. Only one ramp for up/down which isn’t wide enough for 2. Because of queue of traffic coming in I had to go up a ramp, do a 20 point turn in the narrow lane to head back down. I’ve now been sat here for 1 hour in a standoff queue of traffic trying to exit which is battling with a queue of traffic wanting to come in. Expensive car park for such a terrible design

Parked here today whilst in Chester. This car park is far too narrow to use safely and easily. We managed to get parked but then had difficulty walking to the stairs to get out of the car park as we were nearly hit by the cars who have no room whatsoever to drive inside. When cars come in the opposite direction (as you'd expect in a car park) it is a nightmare and potentially dangerous. To make matters worse, half of level three was closed and having work done to it meaning there was even less room for cars to manoeuvre through the minuscule spaces provided to drive. We were parked just under two hours (£6.20!- rip off for the poor facilities on offer) and witnessed many near crashes and this isn't not an exaggeration.The parking spaces, like the driving area of the car park, are tiny and there is just about enough room to park. Obviously money comes over safety here and NCP as a company should be ashamed to have crammed so many spaces into this car park.

Awful car park. Incredibly narrow spaces and very cramped. Insufficient room for cars to enter/exit car park at same time. Avoid!

Worst car park I have ever been in. Spaces tight and only long enough and wide enough for a Micra sized car. Was difficult to navigate if you came across another person going other way. Stairs were narrow and steep, prices were high. Only good thing is location. Close to centre and close to river. I suggest maybe making the spaces diagonal to improve space.
