Disgusting! 32 minute stay and £70 fine - and all for going into Sainsbury’s and buying some lunch from them. No I don’t look that closely at supermarket parking restrictions because nowhere else does a supermarket charge you to park there and buy from them. DISGUSTING!!

I am a disabled driver & always check for signage. Could not see any near the disabled parking area. Assumed incorrectly that it was free parking. Fined £70 fir a 55 min stay. First time visiting Hinckley. Never again

my daughter started her new job next door in aldi..was there 6am sunday morning but started at 630am..so waited in her dads car then at 6.20am went into work..by the way aldi and sainsbury share same car park..only 7 days later got a fine for £70 .she was starting her new job couldnt believe it ..no phone number to ring . will be appealing ..its out raging

I have posted a negative review above. But, I returned to Sainsburys-Hinckley on the 31/08/2022 to complain to a MANAGER about my parking fine of a 41minutes stay and a £6+ purchase. Managers were not available, but the lady on the Service Desk knew immediately that my query was going to be about parking and cancelled the 'FINE' and told me not to worry. I shall see in a few weeks time, when the '29 days to pay' are up. I told her that I was an 'out of towner', unaware of the local procedures, as in Coventry there are restrictions, but not 'stupid' fines. Apparently when you make a purchase there, you have to ask for car-park cancellation ticket, which you then put into the or scan into the ticket machine, to void your parking. Apparently the people on the tills used to remind shoppers about this ticket.

This car park is a scam!!! be prepared to pay the full fee regardless of whether you have spent any money in Sainsburys. When trying to complain there is NO phone number and NO email so the only option is to return park again and pay again !! BEWARE !!

Hi doing electrical work in CINEWORLD manager told me the sainsbury car park was best, this was the 2nd visit so I knew I had to pick up a voucher from the CINEWORLD manager which I did. At 1st the voucher did not scan, the 2nd time it looked like it did. So I left after being there about 60 minutes. Then I received a £42. Fine saying unpaid parking!, needless to say I emailed an appeal immediately only for a letter to arrive some weeks later with absolutely no reference to my appeal at all now demanding £70., unbelievable. I will not be paying this they can take me to bloody court. If I was supposed to pay for the parking I would have as I do all over the country. These cowboy companies need BANNING. Sainsbury’s need to eject this parking scam company ASAP or lose more custom.

terrible car paravoid like the plague.camera didnt pick reg up on way in.caused all sorts of problems.bunch of loosersand no attendant to sort out, just a stupid young woman on the end of the phone with horrible gravilly voice trying to talk in a american accent like all kids do these days.god help us !

my wife has just recieved a fine and had no idea about getting a voucher! Absolutely appaulling as we are loyal Sainsburys customers!!!

£140 fine for a 20 min stay on a sunday and shopped in sainsburys no voucher offered you have to ask everytime. Im Not paying and will never pay stand up to the pr1cks

First trip to Hinckley Sainsbury's for 4years 4-1-2020. It will be my last due to the horrendous experience in the car park.

Just received a£70 parking fine from Horizon Parking, who operate at Sainsbury's Hinckley. Supposed to be free parking for customers who spend £5 or more in store. Will be looking into this one!!!!

I thought that the car park is free on a Sunday???? I have just had a parking fine for £70. I will never use Sainsbury’s again neither will any of my friends and family.

Its says 2 Hours Free on this page, I have just been sent a fine for £70 for a Duration of 38 mins , that was an expensive breakfast at Sainsbury

Car park machines informs you need to pay but attendant tells you it's broken and just leave. There was no signs informing the machines are out of order and attendant refuses to explain or provide a out of order receipt with the date on. Now waiting if we will receive a fine as unable to obtain proof. Communication is appalling.

Please make sure that you read the signs, Small print and even smaller print on the signs which are way above head height. This car park is not user friendly and if you want to enjoy a day at the pictures and a meal out avoid. Otherwise you would need to budget £70.00 extra for a car park fine.

Terrible to not allow payment to be made for a few minutes over allotted time. Very bad to do this Sainsbury's!! Asda, Tesco, Lidl , Aldi to name a few, don't charge for parking in the first place n don't ask for receipts to be validated. Customer LOST!!!

Worst car park ever, been charged on Saturday for 1:43h, didn't know that Sat is not free, I think they trying everything to charge you, never again Sainsbury

One of the worst car parks in Hinckley. Received two charges now as low and behold they change the free parking . Certain hours, days , shops... I mean come on.... set a fee and sort it. Everywhere else manages. Then when the number plate recognition is broken... you get charged as well. Not good for business guys!

Absolute joke.....on the site it says free parking!!not on a Saturday cost me £30 I was in Sainsbury's for 47 mins......Asda it is for me!! Fuming!

Note that this car park is NOT free on Saturday, and the B@RST@RDS who "run" it will take great pleasure in sending you a threatening letter in order to extract £30 from you. Last time we use Sainsbury's (EVER!)
