Terrible, parking machines never work, can't believe Asda has not sorted this out yet, car park is free in Morrisons South Shields.

Blue badge holder, Got a fine for parking in a disabled bay with the badge on display. Was there just over an hour and shopping in store. I have NEVER received a fine at this store before. I have appealed with Parking eye and will see what comes of it. Although looking at the other comments I think I will have to take it to court. Grrr.

Just received parking fine from 7th august couldn’t get ticket as all machines out of order. Luckily I took photos of machines so hopefully they’ll squash fine… told a member of staff about paying problems!! Said yeah it’s always happening. I’ll be shopping in Morrisons from now on

Absolutely shocking. Went in and spent over £100 not realising I had to pay for parking and then get slapped with a £70 fine. Never again

What a joke. Went to do a quick shop here on June 5 not knowing you have to pay. Didn't see any machines in the outdoor section. Today have received a £70 fine. Checked supermarket website and it doesn't say anything about paid parking. Asda you have just lost another disgruntled customer.

Disgusting, received a fine after ticket machine had out of order sign on, asked Asda employee who said it was free that day. Received a fine and appealed it after sending in evidence of all the times I have paid previously. Appeal was refused so spoke to Asda customer services who said go in store as many people had complained and the fine had been cancelled. Went in-store employee took my details, I didn't hear anything and received a final notice of £70, went back in to Asda to then be told they could not cancel it as I had appealed with popla, if they had of told me that first time round then my fine would not now be doubled. No consideration for customers!!!!

I first wrote a review on the 14/04/23 as I said I had paid the fine & sent a letter to Parkingeye, I am pleased to say I received a cheque yesterday as they have cancelled the parking fine I still will not be going to Asda Store or petrol station again.Blue Badge holders if you haven't already appealed I would

Will never shop here again, the audacity to charge to park and fine you if you don’t when you spend £200 in store. Looks like asda are loosing out on a ridiculous amount of custom due to scamming parking eye.

Blue badge holder, used same space and store since it opened and suddenly fined £70 from parkingeye. No obvious signage of changes anywhere near underground disabled bays or where I could see. Appealed and complained to Asda. Colleague on phone told me fine would be cancelled but email said “would look into” we will see. If no luck I will take it to POPLA next. Details on back of your fine. Then whoever after that all the way to court if needs be.

I am a new blue badge user. I read the user signs and went upstairs to customer services to register my sons registration. I asked if I had to do this every time as different people will be taking me shopping. Firstly I was told only one reg could be used and then a second person on customer services said blue badge belongs to person whose badge it is. I'm now a bit worried to use it as I've read reviews saying people are getting fined despite displaying blue badge. I'm very confused

Caught out by new rules for parking won’t get caught again. We won’t be shopping at ASDA again

Car park was free to use on the 11th April 2023. Got a parking fine for 30 mins. Parking attendant was there with a big sign covering up the pay machine. Disgusted with Asda for letting companies like this on their premises. Wonder what kick backs Asda receive from parking eye???

No blue badge option got a 40£ fine.will not use this spiteful store again.

I am a disabled user, always parked in the same place for ease of getting into the store. They should surely be signage near these bays, it has obviously changed recently. It’s a struggle enough for disabled people, I won’t be using the shop or petrol station again !

Disabled user, blue badge on display and in designated parking bay. Fine received for £70, when did this change ? Never seen any signs to say it’s changed. No email or contact number, only appeals in writing, which would take you over the 14 day period anyway, by the time you get a reply. I certainly won’t be going to Asda South Shields ever again.

Received a parking fine notice yesterday for the 27/03/2023 I had my blue badge on show I have paid the fine but iv'e also sent a letter to Parkingey i am now expecting another 2 as lv'e been in twice since i will not be going back to Asda again i will also not be buying my petrol there

What a joke, received a fine but the machine wasn't working to pay. I won't use this store anymore, I spent a fortune in the store and now get rewarded by having a fine, thanks asda

Recieved a parking fine even though had a disabled badge and parked in disabled bay. There was no notification of charges or advertisements!

Used asda south shields for years but on 18th feb after having a blue badge displayed in the window and parked in a disabled bay I recieved a £70 fine.Genuinly didnt know that parking eye had fitted cameras in the car park.Totally disgusted never seen any signs advertising the new system.I feel sorry for asda as I and most other people will shop elsewhere from now on I will get my £70 back saving money shopping at aldi and lidl.Good bye asda thanks for the memories

Got a parking ticket 17th Feb I had my blue badge showing I'm disabled whats going on last time I will shop at asda they gone right down hill

I have received a parking fine today despite parking in a disabled bay with valid badge and only spending an hour and ten minutes in store. Absolutely disgraceful.

If I could rate this no stars I would. We went 14 th feb and the machines were out of order we asked it it for free they said yes today got a fine from parking eye. You can’t ring parking eye has they don’t want to know we rang Asda and they’re going to try and sort it. We’ll see though because I don’t think they care either won’t be shopping there anymore though that’s it

Elderly father has received a fine even though disability badge displayed. Have the rules changed since parking eye fitted? If so surely this should be advertised!!

As a disabled car user who HAS registered their car reg with Asda I was amazed to receive a parking fine today. No contact numbers to speak to anyone so will have to do it online or by post. USELESS. Will stop shopping at Asda South Shields!

Today I tried 3 times to pay at the covered car park. It caused a queue and I had to step aside to let other people to pay and shop. The problem was it would not accept my debit card. I went to the the Customer Service desk and explained that it was not accepting my card. These day people tend to pay by card and don’t carry cash.

Tried to pay buy card in South Shields asda today, totally rubbish instructions. Couldn't obtain a ticket, tried twice. Will I now befined even though I spent £123.00 in Asda today? Doesn't seem quite fair really. Can't find anyway to pay retrospectively, please advise thanks

Parking charges for shopping in store only drives people to shop elsewhere as I will I will never shop in asda shields again and petrol is no longer discounted so no petrol for me ever
