Blackburn Station

The ticket machine wasn't working, other cars had no tickets in so we caught our train. Got back to find a fixed penalty notice. What a con that car park is and the company.

Before going please note you need to have the RingGo app in order to pay. I was leaving my car at Blackburn station for a weekend and parked up to find the pay machine is no longer working and a very keen member of staff patrolling and ticketing cars. Asked whether there were any other machines (there weren't) and was told to use the RingGo app which I didn't have on my phone. He didn't volunteer the info but when I asked if I could pay for parking at the kiosk he half shrugged and said it should be OK so I told him I'd be five or ten mins then found the kiosk was shut AND the free-standing ticket machine was also down. Had to run back and move the car onto Peel St centre car park whilst I got the app working, bought my ticket using the mobile app and then moved back to the Railway car park after it was done by which time, I'd missed my train. 2 stars because it is cheap at £2 per day but no good if paying cash or without a phone.

Yes I agree with the previous comments and there are still not enough spaces now come on station parking get your act together

There are a limited amount of spaces, I paid for a weeks parking and turned up there one day and there were no spaces, I had to park on the peel centre car park and rush getting a ticket which I got and now have to pay £100!! They need to get more spaces or make it permit only, if I’ve paid for a space then I should be getting it or don’t offer the weeks parking!!

I commute daily from Blackburn into Preston by train. I use this carpark daily. Unfortunately over the last month the car park has been full by 7.30am. Not with commuters, but people who work in Blackburn using the "free for rail users" carpark. I have to drive to Blackburn because I live in a village with little public transport. Today I really had a panic about where to park, as there were no spaces other than the ones for the cinema, where you can park for a maximum of 4 hours. There is no way I'm going to risk a parking ticket to travel to work, and this is honestly going to push me into using my car to get to Preston, because the parking is no longer available.
