States 5 hours free but got a parking ticket for being under 5hours! Disgusting.
There will be a court case soon to decide a reasonable time for a company to make it absolutely clear what their rules are. 1. Two hours or 5 hours maximum? 2. Having had to refund the illegal fines earlier in 2021, why does this web site and the actual signs not reflect What the real situation is?
Please make sure what the maximum stay is? I have dated photographs and dated website screenshots ready for the next court case.
Notice that you have removed the two hour maximum reference and it is back to five hours again. Well done! I hope that the computer has also been told about this.
Next misunderstanding to cause motorists, Sainsburys and Eurocarparks more hassle is the fact that they cannot determine whether it is two or five hours free!!!
If you have paid the ‘fine’ please make sure that you receive a refund. See the following https://www.hertsad.co.uk/news/supermarket-reversal-over-parking-fines-7979138
I believe it is because they have lost the car park contract due to the illegal fines they were issuing And now have had to be refunded.
Why have the reviews stopped after May 14th???
The car park itself is fine and well run. It is disturbing to realise you can only park when the shops are open which on a Sunday is from 11.00 when you are allowed to browse in Sainsbury's from 10.30. Unbelievable that you get a £70 fine for waiting for the shop to open or actually be in browsing whilst you get a ticket for parking in their car park. Appalling.
Such an unethical company, how they issuing the tickets here. The car park was pretty much empty and was just waiting for stores to open and was here before 11am and got a ticket even though I spent over hundred £ in the stores. The stores have a responsibility for their customers too to sort this out it isn’t just Euro car Parks grrrr!!!
Beware of the eurocarparks trap. They will charge you £70.00 for parking there and browsing from 10.30 at Sainsbury’s. Shame on Sainsbury’s for permitting this scam to go ahead.
Euro car parks. Warning. Cancel these ridiculous fines and co-ordinate the car park times with the shop opening hours. Court case looming.
Have received a parking fine like many others for parking when the shops opened on a Sunday at 10.30am but the car park does not properly operate until 11am. Have appealed but if not successful will take it all the way to court. They have two options, cancel these ridiculous fines and change their system to be in step with the shop opening hours OR As I have lots of time of my hands, I will pursue it and cause them lots of expensive court costs, apart from the bad publicity and the expense of refunding and compensating those who may have already paid the ‘Fines’.
Bit of a scam going on here. Sainsbury's invite shoppers to enter the store from 10:30 which is 30 minutes before you can park for more 10 minutes. So you rock up at 10:30ish, do your shop, and then get a £70 fine.
Use this car park every weekend when shopping at Sainsbury’s Just been sent PCN from EuroParks Entry date 2/5/2021 at 10.19am exit time 11.36am on the same day. Have appealed on line to euroParks and will speak to customer services at Sainsbury’s
Recently changed the post 10pm parking limit to 10mins from 5 hrs to con people out of hard earned cash in a pandemic. Great company.
Beware they are issuing parking tickets incorrectly, if you get one take it to Sainsbury and they will deal with it for you. They are aware of the problem and trying to rectify it.
Was parked here on 14th Feb 21 and got a parking charge notice. I appealed this as the car was only there 1 hour and 37 mins from 10:36 am. Appeal was declined as the 5 hours free parking is only between 11am and 5pm. Either side of this you only get 10minutes parking. Not that I could see any signs that stated this! Disgusting.
Parked on 21 February for 1 hour 20 minutes. Well within the free 2 hour period. Today I received a PCN for £70. Euro Car Parks need to sort out their system to stop issuing erroneous PCNs. Just had to spend time lodging an appeal.
Parked for one hour got a ticket thought it was free for two hrs on a Sunday tip off
Parked here for 51 minutes - well within the 2 hour free period and got a £70 fine. The welcome sign even stated that my vehicle could stay fo 5 hours! Euro Car Parks must fix their ALPR systems so customers are not erroneously fined!
Same here. Was parked for 1 hour 30 minutes and got a ticket. Ridiculous.
Got a parking ticket for being here an hour and 15 minutes told they have changed the parking restrictions from 5hrs free to 2hrs free ! What a joke they can’t even count minutes!
Beware - it was 5 hrs free but now 2021 only 2 hrs or £40 penalty !!!
Good 5 hours free parking
lot of mad drivers, although very good 5 hours free parking and in good location
