Parking in Ampthill

If you don't know your way around Ampthill parking your car can be difficult.

Shoppers can park at Waitrose but only stay for two hours, which many residents say is not enough time to get into town and look around any shops other than the supermarket.

Town Centre Shoppers Car Park (by Waitrose)

Maximum stay: 2 hours

Car park spaces marked M: 4 hours maximum stay Mon - Wed.
Market vendors only on Thursday in lower part of the car park directly off Church Street.

Parking is unrestricted outside Waitrose store opening hours.

Free long stay parking is available in The Sands car park off Woburn Street and the parking bays along Woburn Street and Bedford Street.

Free Parking Facilities

Additional FREE Car Parking Facilities - available every Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holiday. Visitors and shoppers to the town can park in the car park behind the Aragon Housing Association building each weekend and bank holiday.

From Dunstable Street (opposite the Old Sun PH) turn into Chandos Road then turn first right and first right again. You can reach the town centre from the car park by walking down the side of the Housing Association building taking you back into Dunstable Street.
