Nuffield Health York Hospital

TOTAL RIP OFF! Says it is free, but I was slapped with a £100 parking fine. Deliberately set up to take advantage of Nuffield "customers".

Send in your appointment letter to NCP and they will cancel the charge. Nothing was said at the Nuffield about the parking including from the arrogant unhelpful receptionist. It must be a real good money spinner for them.

My husband and I both had X rays and parked as we usually do in the car park AND we put details into the machine at reception! But still received a £100 fine within a week. The hospital is very high quality and this trying to get money from patients is not to be tolerated. MG

Like many others I was shocked to receive a car parking fine for £100 after visiting the hospital last week. There was a queue of people when I arrived any notices were obscured and the receptionist asked Covid questions then sent me straight up. Patients need to be made aware of this change.

I visited Nuffield Hospital on 25th Jan for an appointment and then again the following week. The receptionist didn't tell me I needed to enter my registration number. I have now received £200 in fines. It's completely obscene.

It is very misleading to say this car park is free, and not mention the need to put your car reg in the machine in reception. I took a my wife for her appointment, waited in the car for her, didn't notice any signs and have received a parking charge notice. Never had any bother before. When did this start. The charge seems excessive when no effort made in reception to explain new arrangement. Have asked Nuffield to improve web site info.

This car park is now only free to visitors and patients to the hospital. There is a lot of signage warning users of this fact including numerous signs around the car park and on entering the site. If you are visiting the hospital this should hopefully free up spaces for you to park and deter those who are not 'legit'.

This website says parking is free, please be warned, it is only free if you put your car park registration number in a machine in the hospital which is not pointed out to you. If you are unaware and fail to do this you will get a letter with a fine of £60. This fine is grossly excessive for a car park which you do not have to pay for. I was parked and in the hospital for a total of 35 minutes.
