I regularly shop in Sainsbury Brentwood and on 16/11 visited for the third time that week. I parked up, bought some products and was gone within approx an hour. A few days days later I was sent a £70 parking charge notice (with an option of a 'reduced' £40 charge if I paid up quickly) as I had mistakenly not picked up a free two hour customer parking ticket. On an aside, at that time in my life, I was visiting hospital on a regular basis as my two month old nephew was seriously ill, so I was not in my normal state of mind. I lodged an appeal with Euro Car Parks as I had a receipt to prove I was there on that date at that time & that I had bought products. I explained and provided bank statement proof that I was a regular customer, and that at that time I was dealing with a lot of stress and worry in my private life due to my nephews illness. They turned this appeal down flat. I also contacted Sainsbury directly via email three times, as I felt this was a miscarriage of justice, they gave no help at all

Disgusting, I had a blue badge in a disabled bay and I got a pcn through my door today saying I had no ticket on my car which I don’t need with a blue badge and they only took pics of my license plate no proof it’s disgusting what these scammers are doing

My husband paid car park charge for parking in the brewery car park at Romford. He was picking up items from Argos, he couldnt find disable bay free near to the sainsbury so parked in pickup point clearly displayed his disable badge. Got pcn for parking for 5 mins whilst he picked up items from Argos in Sainsbury's. No sign or any warning that you would get stung for parking there. Wont be shopping there again.

I'm a disabled person and I received parking penalty ticket I couldn't find any free disabled car park so I parked in the bay prark and I got a ticket letter...wow I won't spend a penny there anymore as is called, theifs..

Absolutely ridiculous. A PCN was sent to my old address despite my my details being updated on the DVLA site. Now they have hired a debt collection agency to extract an extortionate sum out of me. Disgusted

Parking here I just got a ticket. Why is every Sainsbury’s car park different? No clear signs for parking terms. Won’t be parking here again, Nine Elms one is much nicer and free for two hours!

I have blue badges and got a ticket for parking there what is the point of telling u to register them to get parking tickets this ain’t only the once been a few times not it’s a joke

I've been charged a PCN for being there for 31 minutes. Given a time that all we can do is go to the supermarket and home again this is ridiculous. If there was clear signage I can happily pay the car charge as I live around the corner and already pay council tax for the borough. It's just so silly for people to money grab given we can only go to the supermarket.

just got a parking ticket for 1hr 7mins I am registered dissabled and should not pay!!! you can see my badge in the window quite clearly and I registered in the shop!!!!!!!!Stress stress stress

Was sent a PCN in the post for parking on a day I was no where near this car park, but had been there the day before. The pictures are not time stamped nor is there actual evidence of me parking there. I have parked here multiple times before, never having issues before. Over priced and wrongly charged- disappointing

We registered our disabled badge at shopping branch as advised and got a PCN ticket. This is causing distress to disabled people and needs urgent investigation. We have been shopping there years and never got ticket and very unhappy about this.

Dec 7, 2019

Received PCN ticket and registered disabled such a waste of our time and was told by customer service it was free for disabled and registered my car. Something seriously wrong with their system and needs urgent investigation. This is causing distress to disabled people

Nov 15, 2019

Received 2 PCNs in 2 weeks. We have been shopping here for years and clearly display the blue badge each time. It is ridiculous, they shouldn't be allowed to get away with scams like this!!

Oct 9, 2019

I have been using the car park for years, displaying blue badge. Now received a PCN.It was not made clear that blue badge holders should register in store, definitely a scam. Shame on sainsbury.

I recieved a pcn but I have a Blue badge I appealed and sent photo of badge. They cancelled the fine Thank you so Much

I have been using this car park for 6 years. It used to be a pay and display up until 6months ago or so. They have now changed the system to an ANPR system.5 months ago blue badge holder were able to park by just displaying their blue badge but all of a sudden they have changed it again by making blue badge holders register the badge at customer services desk in Sainburys. This erratic change of terms and conditions of use were not communicated clearly in any way what so ever and now I've have been issued with a PCN from Horizon. How can they change the terms of use 3 times in the space of 6 months and not display banners or posters stating the change for blue badge holders. This is a scam!

Sep 15, 2019

parked with a blue badge as we have done so many times before and was issued with a parking charge notice from Horizon. My understanding was it was free to park for a period of time with a blue badge displayed. We only popped in to pick up a package and treat for my disabled son....less than 30 mins. Will definitely think again when it comes to shopping at Sainsburys Wandsworth.

Sep 14, 2019

I have always parked with a blue badge in a disabled bay for free. I have just received a PCN for £70 for parking for 52 minutes with a clearly displayed blue badge. When did the rules change? BEWARE

Sep 10, 2019

Definitely overpriced, and also blue badge users are being sent PCNs in the post. What's the deal with that. I've always been able to park free with blue badge but the rule seems to have been changed.

Jul 13, 2016

Definitely overpriced

Jun 7, 2015

Cost is now £1.50 per hour. Need to give exact change. eg. if you pay £1.60 you only get an hour. If you spend £10 at Sainsbury's you get your parking fees taken off your total spend. Again if you pay £1.60 you only get £1.50 off your shopping
