Paid £3.90 via the Just Park app. Got a £100 fine 2 weeks later. Wrote to DVLA (who had passed on my address) and Just Park with screenshots of my payment. DVLA replied after they had investigated. The company said my payment hadn't registered on their system! My fine was cancelled...but it all seems VERY DODGY to me!!

Unloaded outside paying times and now have a bill for £170. DO NOT get caught with this.

On no account would I use this car park again.When entering, there was a queue with no spaces available so drove back out.2 weeks later a demand for £100 for non payment for parking.Did NOT park, are you not supposed to offer a service,ie .a parking place before charging, basically it's just completely ripping people off.NO stars.

Parked in this carpark I was 25 minutes late (after 6 pm) due to my disabled partner requiring the toilet 3 weeks later received a letter demanding £170 fine from zzps because of late payment no other letters had been received before hand absolute scam they should be reported

Paid for a full week to Scarborough BC... no notices to identify this location as PRIVATE. Appealed using documentary evidence.... a hearty 'uninterested' response eventually from to their office. It fell on deaf ears. They're only interested in money not any excuse, reasonable or otherwise. DO NOT take the chance of not paying/overstaying etc, it will spoil your visit!

Whatever you do keep your ticket. Two weeks after using the car park I received a fine notice stating I had exceeded my time strange when I arrived after 6pm and left at 9pm same evening when the time limit was 8 am!!! Appeal fails with no proof of overstaying This company needs investigating

Parked there for just 8 mins as the machine wouldnt take coins so I went away,when I got home after 21 days hols I was issued with £170 fine for late payment in a very threatening solicitors letter even though I have disabled badge ,they would not listen to my appeals and were very hostile on the phone calls,THEY ARE RACKETEERS and the DVLA should never give your private details to these criminals,there will soon be solicitors suing these crooks,theyre a shame on Whitby allowing it .DONT use this car park its a scam!

I liked the car park as located in middle of town and easy access to our accommodation used the mobile app all the details on a sign next to the pay machine even got a reminder that time was running out and option to extend only 4 stars as gravel surface not tarmac but it is what it is ... its a car park simple mobile app if you dont like it park elsewhere and leave spaces for people like me

Having driven 120 miles I got to this car park and tried to insert £1 coins. It wouldn't except them. After twenty minutes we rang the number above the parking machine to get an on-line ticket. We wasted about 35 minutes and after a long drive you really do not wany this. I have reported this machine before 3 or 4 years ago - seems to have been ignored.

Absolutely disgusting don’t use this carpark . I missed the cut off by 20 minutes and emailed via the app and was told I couldn’t pay retrospectively but to save correspondence to appeal and after many many emails to get to appeal process it was rejected with no reference to why I appealed . Absolute scam

The pay machine is unreliable. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon.Queued up to see people’s money rolling out of the machine from the people trying to pay in front. We tried to pay but couldn’t. The man in front said “ this happens all the time “. We walked away for 10 minutes to check if we were at the right hotel ( we weren’t) and then left. 2 weeks later we get a minimum £60 fine.Absolute scam. Star should be less than one.
