Received a parking fine for being 17 mins over the limit. I had my 7 month old baby with me who I needed to change last min after she pooped everywhere. They didn’t give a damn when I appealed. It’s people like these that make this world what it is today.

I am in agreement with the previous reviews. Last time I used this car park it was 3 hours free parking (dont go very often). Went shopping with my blue badge holder mum, and was fined £100 for being just over 2.5 hours. Seriously considering parking elsewhere..

Received £100 parking notice. I am a blue badge holder, normally free or 3 hours parking. Too many shops, too little time. Another disgusted shopper, unlikely to return. You can't speak to Euro Car parks on phone.

7 shops and 2:30 hours to shop. No signs visible and got a fine after spending my money in 4 shops. Not going to return out of principle.

I would give it zero if I could. Our first visit to this retail centre. Absolutely gutted to receive a £60 parking fine 19 days after parking there. Will never shop there again . Well done shops, you certainly know how to stop your customers returning!

Received a final notice today, fine of £100.00 did not see first notice. Could only assume it looked like a circular. No noticeable markings on envelopes to indicate it is a fine. Made redundant three years ago cannot afford the £100 never saw any notices at car park. Absolutely gutted

I saw no signs and just thought great free parking! Now got a fine for a lovely afternoon out and spending a heap of money in the local shops - it being my first visit! You cannot get around that many shops and have a coffee in 2.5 hours! It is an absolute con and would be better with pay and display machines if you want to stay longer. I suppose it wouldn’t bring in the same revenue though!

So many shops, 2.5 hours is way too short for what you want to do. Add to that unremarkable signage you cant read this leads to £100 fines for having the audacity to shop in actual shops as opposed to online. Shameful. I am asking the shops to join forces to petition for fairer parking or lose their customers. Come on shops, join forces and get this sorted. Read all the complaints and protect your customers and therefore your businesses.

We have never visited this car park before. We shopped at Sports Direct before visiting Tesco’s. We will NEVER visit this car park again having just received a £60 fine for parking for less than three hours. A very short sighted way to earn money from shoppers. We will not shop in Havant again.

Absolutely ridiculous having such a short amount of time for parking. As with others, I received a penalty charge. Definitely will not be returning to these shops again, I will stick to shopping online!

Absolute ripoff. Always used to be 3 hours free parking. Now changed to 2 1/2 hours . Got £60 fine for staying 2 hours 35 mins.

Disgraceful have used car park loads this time took my grandchildren to get school bits and bibs and lunch, £60 fine unknowingly stayed longer than allotted time. I have never in the three years going there seen a sign re payment or parking times. Won’t be going there again shall he going elsewhere for my shopping.

Absolutely shocking just received £60 fine for a few hours shopping supporting local business. Didn't see any signage about max stay or option to extend. Will not be returning.

I agree with every comment posted here regarding the woefully inadequate length of time permitted in this car park. When you consider the excellent range of shops and cafes, where you can easily spend half an hour alone, two hours simply isn't enough time to enjoy the experience. If I were the owners of the shops I'd be placing a massive complaint with the parking company as this short-sighted policy is clearly impacting on them with many people saying they won't be returning. Whiteley allows 4 hours free parking - and that's what it ought to be at the Solent Retail Park.

I don’t go there again after taking my disabled mum there who cannot walk very fast and likes to browse, we did not realise there was a time limit as there are so many nice shops and like other shoppers received a parking charge a couple of days later, which is bizarre as mum has a disability permit which allows her to park for three hours, not two, also should there not be machines where people pay who want to stay longer, I believe this is a disgusting way of robbing the public once again

Disgusted. Parked in virtually empty car park on a rainy Sunday and received a fine. Absolutely did not see any signage on the way in, or notices around the car park. Visited and spent considerable money in M&S, Next and Hobbycraft, returning back to Next for a quick bite and coffee as treat for daughters!!! What a disappointment to receive fine when only parked for three hours! Most certainly put will not return as a money making scheme for euro car parks.

Appalling and deceitful as signs deliberately unclear and should make it obvious that free parking has been reduced from 3 to 2 hours since pre-lockdown. I am a pensioner and was buying birthday presents with my 3 year old granddaughter- a lovely occasion thoroughly spoiled by these nasty selfish greedy money grabbers. Won't ever go back

Signage clearly not that visible given the amount of complaints in this thread. As mentioned many times in the review you are restricting peoples ability to actually shop and enjoy the amenities. Very disappointing.

Will not be shopping here again, daylight robbery charging, make it metered, will work out cheaper. Will be shopping in line, or elsewhere, when no customers and shops shut and jobs lost, you have yourselves to blame. Absolutely disgusted by fine charged.

Does not even deserve one star. It needs to be clearer how many hours you can stay there and if they want to keep customers in the area they need to increase the parking hours of stay. I would rather pay on a metre 80p an hour then paid this fine

Similar to other reviewers having visited the car park for lunch and shopping I received a parking charge for unknowingly overstaying the limit. More annoying than the fine the charge notice had no appeal process or telephone no/address to discuss the penalty and looks like it’s been written purely for the purposes of making money. I too will not be shopping there again. Maybe one day the stores may realise this is why they are empty and closing!

Zero stars if I could. Had a lovely morning shopping spending lots of our hard earned money in the stores and in the coffee shop on 10 June. Great place to look round and spend but a week later a parking ticket arrived for £100 or payable in a week reduced to £60. We did not see any signs . How can retail parks let this robbery happen?. No wonder shops are closing if we are discouraged from shopping with these exhuberant fees . As we had to queue in several stores due to limited numbers allowed in for social distancing shouldn’t the car parks reflect this in the time allowed to stay? I can see from the comments I am not the only one to land a fine on the same day. Well back to on line shopping and definetely a place we won’t be returning . Although some of the items will have be returned to pay for the fine.

I will not be shopping here again. Went with my mum after lockdoen ended. She hadn't been out for over a year and I hadn't seen her for over a year. So we decided we would do some shopping and have lunch in M and S. This morning I got a parking fine for £100!! We had no idea there was a shopping limit and with so many great shops 2 hours is not long enough. The signs are not obvious. I think this is a money grabbing company and will steer clear of this retail park.

Went to M and S parked in Solent 2 car park. I had my 85 year old invalid mother in a wheelchair, we parked in the disabled space with a valid disability badge. We had a very enjoyable trip out. But !!! It all changed when we received a overstay parking fine. WE WILL NOT BE SHOPPING THERE AGAIN Rating - 0 stars

Just received a parking ticket from Euro Car Parks for parking at Solent Retail Park. Not happy to have to pay, especially as I did not see any parking notices or in fact somewhere to pay for additional parking. I have been in lockdown for many months and had assumed the 3 hour limit for parking still applied. No wonder people are shopping online. Another reason for Retail Parks to close.

I think this is absolutely disgusting. I am disapointed with all the retail shops too. If you want more sales how can you expect a limited 2hrs of parking.

Just received a penalty notice for £60 due now or £100 if not paid immediately. I have shopped at the retail park before and had no idea there was a limit to the time for parking and certainly not 2 hours. We went Carol singing in aid of a local charity and got rewarded with a penalty for parking for quite a bit more money than we made for the charity. I think the shops will suffer from this restrictive parking limit.

I got a fine parking here approx a year ago. The max stay had been altered from 3 hours to 2.5. Think it was £90 reduced to £50 if paid within a fortnight. Agree with other comments it’s not really an adequate amount of time for those that need to do a proper shop, especially factoring in going for lunch/coffee as well. Don’t understand why they changed it, I believe the retail park in Waterlooville is 3 hours maximum.

Received a parking fine for staying over 2 hours . As with most people on this site never saw the signs stating there was a restriction.2 hours really is not long enough for such a retail park. Sadly will think twice before going there again.

Parked in this car park recently and just received a fine for £100 for overstaying the limit. Had no idea there was a limit - didn't see any signs but it was pouring with rain at the time so not surprising. Was initially within the time limit allowed, after spending the morning shopping there, but had to return an item to a store and didn't know that return was prohibited within 2 hours, so that is what took me over the time limit and cost me a fine. Will never shop in this retail park again. Other places I have shopped recently allow up to 4 hours and I assumed this would be the same.

Just received ,£100 parking fine at Solent retail park .2 hours limit is not enough time to visit shops particularly as signs not easily read. Another nail in the coffin of retail shops due to grasping car park owners. No shops won't need a car park. No stars from me. Will not return to Havant.

So unbelievably devastated. Just received a £90 fine after what had been my first trip out with my newborn. I had not seen any signage to say there was a maximum stay allocation and 2 hours is an incredibly insufficient time to be able to wander and do the shopping I needed to, at Mothercare, whilst also ensuring my baby is fed and changed in a busy retail park with limited facilities.

Euro car parks are thieves. 90 quid fine for staying longer than 2 hours on a week night when car Park was empty!!! Will never shop at this center again!

Theives! Fined by EUROCARPARKS for overstaying, allegedly! No clear signs, they send me their “evidence” but it is ridiculous as it can’t be seen /read on the busy junction in. They say high streets are dying, next it will be the retail parks! £90 is not worth it - won’t be coming back. Shoppers beware!!

My husband is 82 and just had a pacemaker fitted. I am in my 70s and not as nimble as I used to be. We didn’t see any parking charges sign so presumed it was 3 hours, we don’t normally stay that long as my husband gets tired, we have been using that car park for over 2 years. With all the crowds it made it difficult to get around and get served and it took longer than we would have liked but with all the standing my husband needed to sit down for a rest. We had a cup of coffee and when he felt better got the car and drove home.Nasty surprise this morning with a £90 fine for overstaying!!! We will NEVER go back to those shops again !!!Whiteley will be my centre of choice from now. Wanted to leave no star but wouldn’t accept.

Christmas shopping and lunch and I get a £50 fine for exceeding the length of stay. Will never park here or use these shops again as we never saw the signs. I’d rather pay for my parking by the hour

Don’t use it! Ruined a perfectly nice day by parking there. 2 hours and 5 mins and fined £50 or £90 if I don’t pay in 14 days. Over 6 large retailers there now two with coffee shops but no way to stay beyond 2 hours. Ridiculous!

What a ridiculous situation! Havant council facilitate the building of popular retail businesses which bring shoppers into the centre of Havant,but Euro Car parks limits the parking time to 2 hours only with no facilty available to pay for extended parking time. Hence shoppers, after receiving a hefty fine when not aware of this situation, go elsewhere. Where is the logic here?

I’ve just got a final reminder and never received the first one! I didn’t see the 2 he max sign and where is the option to pay to stay longer then? I have a new premature baby. By time I unload and look around and have a coffee and feed baby in M it’s longer than 2 hrs! Disgusting service. U put fab shops to go to and u penalise is for using! Wish someone who can make decisions would read the reviews. Just got a pcn couldn’t see signs around and had a disabled person and a young child. Not enough time most places is 3 hours not 2. Will not be going back.

2 hours is not long enough to visit a couple of shops and have coffee with a friend. We usually meet at Hobbycraft then got to pets at home then a coffee

Just received an FPN for overstaying!! Plan to appeal, as sure this is new and didn't spot any signs! Confident have parked there for hours before?! We visited 5 shops with a toddler, had lunch (wait was 20 mins)....sorry retail park but not visiting again!!!!!!!

absolutely ridiculous...my husband and inward buying a pram in Mothercare which then needed to be ordered which took a long time...if they want to enforce paying for parking put pay machines in place! too many shops to go to in only 2 hours...stupid!

There should be the option to extend length of parking by paying - 2 hours is too short.
