Thought I paid through app. Found out later payment not gone through. So been told going to have to pay a fine. Don't use this Car park

1) This is a very poorly signposted car park. It’s very confusing knowing which way to exit and it needs clearer signage and arrows on the ground that you can actually see. 2) payment. Where do I start? There is no parking app. Signs by the machine (btw they are not all working) say to download Apcoa app — which I already had — but this carpark isn’t listed as one you can pay for via the app. Fortunately I wasn’t in a hurry so I phoned Apcoa and the lady told me I couldn’t pay by phone either e cause the carriage isn’t on her system! This is the station carpark in a major city it is so poor.

No parking app facility? Crazy!

Same problem for months (only one machine to take cash) but now worse - could not find a ticket machine to take the £2.50 evening cash charge at all. Had to move car out of car park, missing trains. Plus, with new cars so large, spaces now much too small to park easily.

What a nightmare the station car park was !! I got to the station with my daughter to go to Brighton for the day with £2.50 new pounds and the only machine that took cash would not accept them. I ended up running around trying to change them, in the end I had to run to the kiosk in the station to change them. I then had to run back to the machine to find a lot of people in the same position. Only 1 machine takes cash, when we got our train tickets (very out of breath) the man in the station said its been going on for ages. Make sure you Complain !!. Luckily we got our tickets and train in time.

Spaces means full. And Full means spaces. They never get it right. Today I purchased a ticket via cashless payment and was fined. The person I spoke to was rude, interuptive and I think something's should be said about management thereof.

If you are a commuter on the trains during peak time, £7.60 is going to sting and I can't imagine what paying for a monthly or yearly. The car park itself is usually at near capacity at any given time. You're better off going to the car park across the road on Charrington Place as it usually has more spaces. Security at this car park is fine. I regularly see car park attendants doing their rounds although at times they are pretty lax. People have parked in places they shouldn't do and somehow they do not get a ticket. Convenience is second to none. It's attached to the station itself. Just be careful for careless commuters running to catch a train!

This car park is really handy for the station, however there are a number of issues. Monday to Thursday between 8.40am and 3.00pm you'll be very lucky to get a space. The status signs outside are not accurate (spaces / full). It's expensive, but very convenient.
