St John's Hospital

The parking by staff issue is correct. I often have early morning appointments. By 9am, the so called "Patient and Visitor " car par is half to two thirds full of drivers who are clearly staff. Sometimes the hospital puts stewards on to deter this, but not often enough. No way the majority of potentially stressed patients will get a space. There are other staff car parks.

Not enough parking spaces at certain times. Arrived 30 mins before appointment on going cancer treatment and ended up having to park on double yellows which I know I’m not supposed to but I’m sorry I’m not missing my appointment. I come out to have a sticker on car which fair enough I’m incorrectly parked. It in my view for a good reason, my issue though iswhy do they use a sticker that could damage cars and takes ages to get off?

Always full with no where close by to park. Any one With the slightest mobility issues are not going to be able to make appointments.

Lots of spaces as not visiting hours. Very short walk to hospital.

It took three quarters of an hour to get a parking space it was a free for all cars nose to tail all chasing same spaces. I was very very late getting into hospital. Perhaps hospital should start charging again and when you leave hospital refund from a machine situated inside hospital. Also very surprised that there has not been serious accident in the car park.

Today I was in car parking at 8am and have to wait for appointment for half hour. HOW MANY PARKING SPACES LEFT IF NEARLY HALF OF THEM BEEN USING FOR STAFF.Cars stay for all day till they finish work but is write:Car parking for visitors and patients only.They can leave cars in other NHS parking,but we cannot .When parking is full you have to wait for another patients leaving car space, but these are only half.No chance to be in first lines,because all these cars are for stuff.No nice.

Had to drive 48 miles for an appointment for my wife, public transport not an option, car parks were totally full. There is not even a park and ride available. I know that hospital car parking is always an issue, but the public are not going to stop using vehicles so whether the Green Party tell us we should stop, they should stop their pressure groups and allow new cars parks together with a minimal car park charge for people having to use their cars especially when public transport is out to the question.

Car Park was full,had to keep going round in circles while waiting for a patient.Icome from Hawick so public transport is not available.What happens if someone is driving to hospital appointment,where do they park.This is urgent for people and extra parking is vital.
