Seems a common theme here now I’ve looked, Parked here 05:01:23 paid the fee using my Apple Pay after trying every other machine on the car park which was out of order, took a screen shot on my phone given the problems with the other machines and got on with my day, today 26:02:23 I have a fine in the post, looks like payment hasn’t gone through regardless of this saying so on my phone at the time, I’ve appealed but don’t hold out much hope reading these reviews, but I will not be paying for someone else’s mistake, the machines should be kept in working order along with them checking the technology they use and ensure it’s fit for purpose, I’m taking this to the local MP and also the press so something can be done against this scam company I would encourage others to do the same to build a case so something is done.
Machines often don't work. I tried paying but still got a ticket that I didn't pay.
Used this car park on 22/10/2023. Payed using contactless on my phone and the charge was pending on my account. No ticket was issued as the machine was playing up. Received a fine and appealed with the screenshot of the £1 pending on my bank account. They declined my appeal saying I should have used the app even though I had entered my registration number and believed I had payed. Said they would let me have a reduced rate of £20 which I paid as it was causing me too much stress. Since then it has been brought to my attention that this has happened to many more people. Avoid this car park
Went into TKMaxx Blue badge holder. Was not long but week later I got a 60 parking ticket pcp, I am a pensioner, now I cannot buy my groceries because I have to pay this, all my life I have payed taxes, now I am being conned out of the little I have how can they sleep as night
Deserve zero stars, they fine you whatever method you try to pay with and then when you appeal and win they charge you £20 for the privilege of them incorrectly issuing a ticket. Avoid
used this car park yesterday, paid £2 on my card, it said on the machine connected to the bank, the ticket machine made a noise but no ticket came out, my husband is a blue badge holder and parked in a disabled bay. i have checked with my bank, nothing as been take out but after reading reviews, worrying we may get a £100 fine, its a hire car so we have got to wait until the hire company let us know. Next i visit Mansfield will not park there.
Had 3 tickets from this s company. Only park there and no way I wouldn’t ever put a ticket on. One I still had ticket for proof. One had an alert on my phone to say £1 taken out my bank screen shot it because machine then broke down and didn’t issue a ticket so then money didn’t come out my bank. Last one refusing to pay it although I have no proof of ticket. I’ve been issued a few times a ticket saying invalid which I’m assuming happened on the 3rd occasion.
Open loot is happening in this car park. For 1 pound fee they penalty is 100 pounds. Never go to this park and around shopping centers.
Very concerning, I paid £2 on 28/07 to park for 2 hours and luckily have kept my ticket as received a fine today. I remember having difficulty paying as the machines are a nightmare, but kept my ticket because my husband had a similar issue in Worksop and ended up paying the fine because he didn’t keep his ticket.
Ridiculous cash cow. Firstly the machines are almost impossible to read, sunlight makes them totally impossible that's if they are working at all. Send you fines when you have paid.
Pay via app then send you parking tickets when there own app failed even when you added funds for parking
AVOID this car park I paid £2 on 28/12/22 got a ticket from the machine was back in time given but got a fine in the post to say my registration number didn't buy ANY ticket that day. I have appealed but was unsuccessful as I don't have my ticket as proof something needs doing its happening too many times. I will never park here ever again & will be getting further advice on the matter !!! £100
There are plenty of signs but the writing with the conditions is so small. Says first 45 minutes free but when I bought a ticket, using the app, the clock started ticking down immediately from an hour, not the 1 hour and 45 minutes. So much for number plate recognition. Not the best designed parking area either. Personally, I wouldn’t rush back.
Honestly do not risk parking in here. On the 17th of December I parked up to use the sports direct and other shops on the retail park. I put my reg into the machine and I had paid the correct amount on the machine for it to say out of order afterwards. I had a notification on my phone to say it had taken the money, so I took a photo of the machine thinking this would be sufficient enough to challenge any come back. How I was so wrong. After about a week I got a PCN through stating they wanted £100 from me, or a reduced rate of £60 if I paid in the set time. I was fuming, but at the same time I thought I had enough to send them for to waive the charge. After sending my appeal and waiting over 2 months, it was rejected and was made to pay £20 for costs they have incurred from issuing the PCN. Something needs to be done about this and their machine, this hasn’t been the first time this machine hasn’t been working correctly. Please try to avoid.

Beware of parking here. I wasn't aware that its a chargeable car park. I only parked to shop in the TKMax store there. Since I was 4 minutes over the 45 minute free period ( which I was unaware of at the time..thinking it was free parking at a retail park ) I then got a letter demanding £100 or £65 if I paid within 2 weeks. So I immediately that same morning I paid the lower figure by post office cheque. A week later I got another letter demanding £170 citing " extra admin fees". I've written back pointing out that they've already had payment. Waiting to get confirmation from them ... Certainly won't ever park there again as there are plenty of other retail parks to shop at without the worry of being ripped off with parking tickets....
I would like to rate this car park zero stars. This is the third time I have incorrectly been issued a parking fine. Luckily I have my ticket still so will be appealing. I really feel the company that owns the car park should look into the technology they use. I also need to not use the car park again.
Paid £2 to park giving me 2hrs 45. Returned within 2 hrs. Received a fine about 6 weeks later stating I had not made sufficient payment. I had kept my receipt so appealed. Now a month later I have been told my appeal has been rejected and now the company are saying the payment was rejected by the machine! Even though the ticket says thank you for your payment. This company or their equipment/systems appear to be rather suspect. I will be appealing again to an independent appeals company who they say I have to use! Which again seems rather suspect.
Took my mother-in-law to Costa, paid for my ticket but have still received a £60 fine. Have since lost the car park ticket so left with no option but to pay the fine.
l have received a fine today l put in 2 pound so should get 2 hrs 45 min ( 45 mins free ) l was there 2 hrs 24 mins l paid by card which l have proof be so careful in this car park this has happend twice to me luckily l had my ticket last time 5 weeks after to proof it keep your tickets ..
Whoever commented saying they parked 23/03. I wish they could get in touch with me. The exact same thing happened to me on 22/03. Clearly an issue with their machine!!!!
Got a parking charge today saying I hadn't paid enough for the time I was there. The metre didn't give a ticket and I did actually put plenty of money in the metre and had plenty of time left on it when I left. I have disputed it and have asked for a receipt of my payment from the metre and the system it uses as I had to put my car registration into the metre to be able to get a ticket (which I didn't get) I have also asked for more pictures as the 2 they have sent only show me on block paved road and you cant see anything else so it doesn't clearly show where I actually am and if I'm in the car park. This company are just trying it on to get money so people need to appeal.
Same....recieved letter saying no response to first letter....and stayed 123 min. Paid for the extra hour and now they want £100
Just received a parking ticket for £100 from CPPlus in the post for parking on 23/03/2022. It states that I was in the car park for 1 hr 28 mins which I do not dispute, however I paid the extra £1 to give myself parking for 1 hr 45 mins, issue is that the machine does not give out paper tickets so I have no proof. Other point is CPPlus say they sent out a reduced charge to me on 8th April which I have not received !.
Parked today 23 Aug 21, no problem until I tried to extend for another hour. The key pad to tap in the reg no’s was really difficult to press and several attempts were made before it eventually registered. Because of sunlight on the glass it was almost impossible to read the letters. Then I finally tried to pay by cash only to find the coin slot blanked off. Quickly off to another machine, same problem. I Am not a techno fan so my only option was exit quick to avoid a fine. Not impressed will think twice before using retail park again, too much hassle.
