Keep your receipt and you can Complain I did and had the ticket cancelled keep your receipt for at least a month

Just received a parking charge notice for being 15 minutes over the 2 hour free period. Like everyone else on here I am absolutely disgusted they can get away with this. Like others I was using the shops and Costa on site and got held up. Why cant they provide an option to pay for extra time if needed to use the shops amd services on site? This has made me extremely angry and frustrated as I don't have £60 spare to pay such an unfair fine. Hope the site closes down and disappears for good as I wont ever shop there again. Money grabbing companies out to get every penny they can from decent hard working people trying to do their bit and boost local trade.

Traveled from colchester to there in two cars as i brought mt daughter shopping used morrissons,iceland and b n m,took 2.5 hrs ,was a nice day shopping untill today two parking tickets we will never go there again disgraeful in todays cost of living tesco here we come .

Terrible experience on the 9th December 2023 . There was a 3/4 traffic light system entering and exiting the car park, trying to get out before the time limit was impossible as there was build up of cars trying to all get out, barley moving for around 40 minutes some I heard was much longer . Smart Parking took advantage of this and has issued myself and iam sure others a fine as we couldn’t possibly get it out on time . Who ever owns this Carpark should be aware that traffic lights like this will cause a lot of disruption and customers like myself unable to abide by the time limit in their car park . If they can give out fines they should when it’s not fair not to!

On 9/12/22 there were roadworks directly outside the entrance/exit to this site. The temp filter lights were creating chaos, restricting smooth exit to waterglades. The lines of cars making their way to the exit were mainly at a standstill, as rows were joining the cars already poised to exit. As the queues to exit were blocking others ways and continual hoards of shoppers were then also ready to join the queues, it became a standstill, with occasional slight moves forward. It took around 45 minutes to exit that site due to the roadworks and at no fault of my own, as I left in ample time to avoid a fee. I received a notice on 17th Jan, saying I had 14 days from date of letter which was (10th.) So now only 7 days! If a,company is to take money and pictures from drivers and are responsible for that site, surely the responsibility is also, that they are aware of circumstances affecting it too! ..to prevent offending innocent law abiding citizens. (1 star rating was because you couldn't leave it blank)

My review wasn’t posted, so I will attempt to post it again. Visited waterglade in December to do some Christmas shopping food shopping with Morrisons . Called in Iceland, Next and B&M. I received a fine yesterday and had to pay £60 for staying an extra 10 mins. I am 74 and this was a huge chunk out of my pension. There are no signs inside the car park. If Morrisons don’t want us to overstay our welcome then maybe they should remove their cafe … also Next should remind their customers that they are being timed and also remove their coffee shop. I won’t be using Waterglade again nor will I be using any of the remaining shops on the high street.

Two hours is not enough time, if you’re shopping in Morrisons then visiting Iceland and B&M ….. especially if you have very young children or elderly parents

Received a £170 parking fine from a debt recovery company this morning after allegedly overstaying the two hour free parking on the 29th of April. (Nearly two months ago). There has been no prior correspondence or a PCN just this huge fine, that I simply cannot afford. I will never go here again!

Went to see my mentally ill brother. I needed to see the manager of his place. She was over 1 hour late. After a lengthy essential meeting got back to my car. The only sign is at the entrance. Sure enough after exceeding the 2 hours by 30 minutes I got a letter today. The website REFUSED my credit card and my debit card (both had plenty of funds) no matter how many times I tried. Eventually after using the phone auto system I paid the unwanted fine. This company doesn't take into account that in the world of the mentally ill things go slower than normal. Not happy.

Absolutely appalling £100 parking ticket! I will not be shopping in morrisons anymore. I have read Morrisons own 67% of the land at Clacton waterglade car park and responsible for SmartParking operating in this car park, shame on you morrisons ripping customers off for short over stays. Smartparking website states they will not speak to anyone regarding parking tickets they pass it on to a debt company who are not interest in listening to anything you say and will not give you a number for smart parking, they only want your money. No community spirit from morrisons no wonder the town is dying and more and more people shopping online, won't be recommending this store. Only gave one star as I couldn't post the review without selecting at least one!

Have just received a parking ticket at Morrisons car park for overstaying by 3 minutes ? Did the same this week as all other times I go there went to Morrisons, B&M, Next and Costas for a coffee definitely shopping elsewhere in future you could try putting the signs that parking is ‘Not free’ at eye level.

As with above comments, received a £60 fine for overstaying by 14 minutes. After visiting and making purchases from every shop. It take longer than 15 minutes to get my mother and her wheelchair back in the car. Will not be visiting again. Absolutely disgraceful

Just received a PCN for overstaying by 14 minutes. The shops in Clacton are dieing and having 7 outlets in this retail park with an allowance of 2 hours parking is ridiculous especially when people are obviously spending money in the outlets. The retailer's should be dealing with the situation. I for one won't be spending money in any of them on this site again. Strange that Clacton Common can provide free parking.

Received a parking fine of £60 few days ago for overstaying by 24 minutes. I'm disgusted & will not shop at Waterglade again. I was not even aware of 2 hour restriction & have shopped there countless times over the years, spending lots of money. This time I spent money in Morrisons, B&M, Next & then coffee & snack in Costa (Next). I have 2 receipts for Next & B&M totalling £43.27 that's without Morrisons & Costa as cannot find those. Will not be frequenting these shops again. From comments that I've seen on local social media people are not happy with this parking situation & have likewise boycotted this retail park.

No stars if it cannot allow for more time to shop. Disabled persons can't run from shop to shop in just 2 hours! Could we not pay a small fee for an extra 2 hours to include some refreshment. Taking any joy out of shopping and people will stop coming to your stores retailers....you need to stand up to the car park hoodlums if you want to keep your customers.

Christmas shopping at morrisons and Iceland 2hours 15 minutes just got a £60.00 fine never shop there again tesco all the way now

The shops clearly do not want trade so we need to move to online shopping from other stores! 2 hours is ridiculous short time for multiple shops

£ 60 because we exceed 2hours? So you can go but only visit one or two shops... Not good at all. Never again!

Received a parking fine for £60 from where I visited Morrisons @ water glade on 3rd July to do my fortnightly shopping. This took me 1hr 15 mins, also popped to Iceland and Next for a coffee and finished up at B & M, How you are expected to do that all in 2 hours is beyond a joke, also I did not notice the 2 hour limit as my eyes were on the road and not up in the air, unfortunately I will not be using this retail park any more. Hurry up Morrisons and complete your new store at Little Clacton where I have shopped for the last 15 years and can shop leisurely, not being told I’ve got to do it in 2 hours !!!!!!

Up until today we used Morrison’s, Iceland and B&M at Waterglade retail park on a weekly basis. Today we received a Parking Charge Notice for apparently overstaying our welcome by 16 minutes on June 30. This won’t be happening again because we will not be shopping there again. Tesco allow three hours parking at their supermarkets and that is just one shop, this laughably named retail park has six separate retail outlets but allows a total of only two hours parking, it’s pathetic but I suppose an easy way to make money with no effort. Disgusted doesn’t really cover it.

I can't see how they expect you to go into all the shops and stop for a coffee in 2 hrs its a joke

We stopped shopping at Morrisons because they make it very difficult for disabled customers to park.Now,we go to Asda,much easier.

Just got parking ticket I was in a disabled parking spot for 2 and half hours my badge gives me 3 free but they are saying I have to pay £60 with in 14 days otherwise it will go up £100

l came shopping to your retail park 18 02 20 went into all the shops stopped for a coffee in next l got a parking fine for being 20 mins over time signs are not very clear not a lot of time to look round and have a coffee and something to eat this was my first visit l shall not be comming again

Just received a parking ticket even though was parked in disabled bay with blue badge on display. Was 2 hours and 12 minutes. Where does it say that blue badge holders will be penalised for going over 2 hours???

Just got parking ticket. Will not use Morrisons ever again. No signs up to say, when you look online it says car parking free.
