Weymouth Old Town (West)

They take photograph of your car entering and leaving - left within 6 minutes of entering car park and realised their machine is intentionally backwards accepted only EXACT coins and no payment option on card... so I left and got charged. They have latest sophisticated cameras to issue fines but coin only machines intentionally.. THEY MAKE THEIR MONEY THROUGH FINES

Parked car, realised machine only accepts exact coins, left within 6 mins but got charged as we were 6 seconds over the 5min!!! Complete robbers. DO NOT ENTER. They intentionally have a sophisticated camera facility linked to an old pay machine which only accepts EXACT COINS so they make their money through fines not through parking facility.

Brought a ticket and still received a parking ticket four days later. Don't park here. Hey Weymouth council, shut them down!

DO NOT ENTER. Go around the roundabout and up the hill - use the council car park there. Came in spent 6 minutes looking for coins asking passers by then left cause didn’t find any coins. £100 fine. BPA code only requires them to give 5 min for that so you won’t win if a second over. Their revenue is from parking tickets not providing parking.

Do not park here, £100 fine for stopping for 8 minutes to search for a toilet. These companies need to be stopped Disgraceful

Avoid this car park: Enter this car park at your own risk. Drove my car into this car park tried to download the app to buy a ticket which wouldn’t work so left minutes later only to receive a £100 fine. No grace period the second your in that car park even to turn around there going to fine you. Disgusting that Weymouth council let a company run a car park like this. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask.

I would have preferred to give it less stars but can’t.Run by a bunch of crooks. I parked there and paid for 4 hours parking.I returned to the car park after 3 1/2 hours and paid for a further 2 hours. On returning home we received a letter stating we had overstayed.I had kept the tickets and presented them to this shower as proof of payment and appealed against the charge, which was turned down . The tickets had mysteriously disappeared in the system.Not a happy bunny!!!Can not contact these people direct, only by mail.Websites no help either.Paid the £60 rather than incur the £100 witch would be the next demand

What a bunch of robbers, Don't park here..... I've been back from a holiday two weeks now and I've just come home from work to a £100 fine. I remember buying two tickets at this car park one was for an hour as" I didn't have enough change "then I returned within the hour once I had more change and paid for another four hours. This gave me more than enough time, yet I still have a fine. I no longer have the tickets obviously so looks like I'm going to be ripped off. Last time I holiday in Weymouth.

DO NOT PARK HERE. It is run by unscrupulous cowboys. I had 2 tickets within time and was charged as if they were wrong and weeks later. And my fine is £160. They should be closed down.

Do not park here , it has cameras that check when you enter and leave if you over stayOr enter your number incorrectly it is run by Parking Eye who will send you a £100 demand which reduces to £60 if you pay in two weeks . Brewers Quay and the Council are aware of this though but have not done anything to change this . If you are a visiting tourist use the council car parks

Would rate as - minus 100 if could. No visibility of fact they use cameras to record entry time and difference between entry time and getting a ticket. Had a young child and baby and had to change nappy before got a ticket and now paying £100/£60 for their inconsideration. I thought public parking allowed 10 minutes grace time before needed a ticket or left car park. Absolute mispresentation. Be very careful if visiting this car park. We will defintely avoid in the future.

As others have stated, this car park is, at best, hugely misleading. It appears to be a pay and display - you pay at the machine, get a ticket, which states the end time. However, they do not clearly say anywhere that charging time starts and ends when you enter and leave the car park - not when you leave and return to your vehicle. So, you may return to your vehicle before the end time stated on your ticket, but if you leave the car park one minute after you will be hit with a £100 penalty. It did affect us, but from a quick search online we are far from the only people to be caught out like this. Avoid!

AVOID THIS CAR PARK! One search on google tells you all you need to know about this car park. It is ran by bullies who will do whatever they can to get more money from you. It has cameras that clock what time you enter and leave and do not account for time taken to find a space, or pay for your ticket so even if you get back by the time stated on your ticket you could be in for a nasty surprise a few weeks later. I had an issue with the machine, when I used this car park a few years ago, not accepting my money which delayed me but I was back in the time stated on the ticket and thought nothing of it. Two weeks later £100 fine! I appealed and didn't get anywhere so ignored further letters as there is no way I am paying them when I bought a ticket and didn't do anything wrong. Two years later they are now sending threatening letters again claiming I owe them £160 and if I don't pay it will go to court and can affect my ability to obtain credit in the future. DO NOT ever park here! The company that owns this car park are bullies. They time your entry and exit to the car park and give no consideration to the time you bought the ticket, and then try to fine you, sending bullying letters years later. Save your money and park elsewhere. Ruins a lovely town.

DO NOT PARK HERE. THEY ARE CRIMINALS. They issue parking fees of £100 for even 1 minute of overage. There is no way to get out of their tickets, they are scam artists with the full backing of the the British courts. Save yourself the nightmare. DO NOT PARK HERE.
