So stressful just trying to pay for parking via the app. Used the phone number, pressed for 2 hours parking and ended up paying £5.60 for a full day?? Damn it, we even rushed back to the car thinking we were going to go over the 2 hours. Didn’t realise I’d paid for the day until I saw the payment on my bank statement. I can’t help but feel the City Council is deceptive in the way it presents the charges. I know the hall itself now offers “free” entry but they’ve clearly set out to obtain that revenue via the car park. If all you want is a stroll in the grounds for an hour, £5.60 is excessive.

All my life I have walked this beautiful park and many memories I have made there. Sadly! Things have been changed and I can no longer visit. Im not computer literate and having to do all of this to park is appalling. At 74 years old I find it discriminating to the people who like myself cannot use these confounded apps. All down to money again. So very sad.

Car parking is £5 for a WHOLE day. All those alleging it is for 2hrs have left reviews without actually visiting. A fiver to walk the park & visit the hall is a bargain, even more so if you take the kids or relatives with you. A fiver would get you two hours of parking in town, or a small bag of chips over at The Cods Scallops.

The fee is far too high. For disabled, limiting it to two hours is unjust, especially when 2 hours is barely enough time to get to any part of the park. You have to put a minimum of 30mins aside to ensure you get back in time and not to mention the unnecessary stress it causes as you worry about getting fined and constant clock watching instead of enjoying the few joys left in the country. A simple walk in a park. You really are steeping to grave lows Nottingham council. You tax, tax, tax, mispend funds and take advantage of volunteers. Disgusting

£5.00 for a little exercise is ridiculous, especially for older people who cannot walk very far ... penalising the elderly and disabled is, quite frankly, appalling.

Well done Nottingham Council, you have now deterred more people from visiting one of the jewels in Nottingham’s crown with you ridiculously parking fee hike, another case of the “Grabbit Quick” council in action, you should be ashamed!

Recent price increase from £3 to £5 is shocking. I used to go almost weekly to walk my dog, but now avoid. £5 is fine if you go for the day but far too expensive for one hour. There should be a cheaper option (and not first thing in the morning) for shorter visits. If you are trying to deter people from visiting the park, you’re succeeding. It’s a shame you don’t care about the negative impact you are having on people’s well-being by doing so.

The new 2023 pricing structure is discriminatory for local residents who make frequent, short visits to Wollaton Park and need to use a car. I have been going there every week 3 or 4 times a week since lockdown. It has been invaluable to my well-being. Why have the council withdrawn a short term stay after 9am? Ridiculous. Just another money grabbing decision by the council to make ordinary residents pay more for less. Thanks Nottingham City Council for not supporting local people again. I refuse to pay a 40% hike in a short term stay at a time of economic difficulty. Also if you charging this amount there should at least be toilets open after 4pm! I agree with above that the phone signal in the park is beyond poor and as the shop closes at 4pm you can't even buy a ticket. So all in all a pretty pathetic place to try and park. Bet the surrounding residents are over the moon with this new pricing as they already have many issues about illegal parking. Re-instate the old short term parking charge!

Can only pay using an app.Discriminates against people who don't have smart phone.Won't go there again

Shame there is not a monthly parking ticket. £65 for a yearly ticket is good but too much for me to payout in one go. A monthly ticket for £15 would be reasonable and more affordable. I go to Wollaton twice a week and never stay for the full 3 hours. Please consider a monthly car park ticket.
