Had a parking fine for the 23rd of December for parking at 6am to shop at m & s. The shop opened at 6am! Have appealed this and been successful.

Parked in the car park for 53 mins and get a charge for £100, absolutely disgusting, why open shops early if you can’t park there

On the 23rd December, M&S opened at 6am went to my Christmas shopping I was only there for 23 mins and I have got a ticket for parking there longer than the maximum period allowed, it was less than 30 mins, what’s the point in shops opening at 6am for Christmas.

Total scam. Very poor signage. Parked properly in a disabled bay. Stayed 2hrs 31 mins thinking the disabled bay gave me 3 hours as that's the norm for disabled parking, but sent £100 fine. Improve the signs and fair enough but not how they are. It's the same at Morrisons in Reigate. Got caught there too after nearly 30 yrs of shopping there. Don't go there now. Thankful not to have to use the normal parking bays as my car wouldn't fit between the lines drawn.

A two hour limit, yet I get a parking ticket for being there an hour and 25 minutes. Last time I ever shop at Aldi.

Oct 8, 2023

Went shopping and got a ticket. Won’t be using again or bring people shopping here. I think the tickets are disproportionate and better signage as I had no idea.

Just make sure you park within the white lines then no problem

I have to tried to contact this company over 6 times and have not got a reply! This is awful it’s left me stressed and made my illness worse! I have followed all the correct procedures in order to put my appeal in and they have been ignored! I can not believe how unprofessional this company is! I will be going to CAB regarding this matter! I was rushed to hospital by ambulance and my car was parked for me by the paramedics in a disabled bay as i have a disability car, because of the rush and urgency of getting me to hospital I didn’t think about my car at the time! They have now sent me a ticket for a £100 when I put an appeal in starting away… I don’t know what to do! There is no way of talking to someone on the phone as it’s all automated!

Same as many others here large car that doesn't fit in between the small parking bays. Clearly, this is a racket and action should be taken against this company. I suspect the retailers on this park will be losing a lot of revenue based on the comments here.

Oct 8, 2021

Same as all the previous reviews I’ve read. )100 fine for parking slightly over the line. I have a big car and the car the other side was close. It was past 7pm, lots of spaces available and I spend on average £150 a week in Aldi- won’t be going there again!

Sep 16, 2021

Sent me a fine of £100 and it wasn’t even my car in the picture (number plate had a different letter) & I’ve never even been to this car park. Appealed the fine & now have to wait ages & can’t get hold of anyone! Absolute shambles.

How many of you have had fine for being slightly over line perhaps its time now to get together and get your money back

Aug 24, 2021

Zero stars if I could! just received a £100 parking fine for slightly parking on a line baring in mind this area is nothing, it’s not a trolly park nor a walk way so I would like to know what the problem is?!! Absolute disgrace I will never shop here again!

Jul 30, 2021

Received a £100 penalty fine too. Absolutely ridiculous. I was shopping for my mother who is unable to shop for herself due to the pandemic

Jun 21, 2021

It is only free to park if you keep within the lines - have a £60 fine for popping into M&S at 18:45 after a long day at school for a 10 minute shop - will not be shopping here again until these third party parking enforcers are removed

Jun 18, 2021

Have also received a £100 ticket in similar circumstances so will not be returning to Wickes to buy a kitchen

May 28, 2021

The parking spaces are narrow and it becomes difficult to park within the bay . I got a ticket for £100 when my car was outside the bay. It is exploiting the vulnerable and tricking the public to make money. Absolute disgrace

May 8, 2021

Same here, slapped with a £100 fine for my tyres being on the white dotted line. Absolutely disgusting considering the major financial difficulties people are dealing with this last year.

Mar 26, 2021

I also just got a £100 charge on a Sunday afternoon because my wheels were partly on the dotted line and partly into the next box. There was a pedestrian path to my left (made sure I wasn't too close to where people were going to walk and cause them agro) and the space on my right was empty. It was still empty when I came back to the car after shopping. It is seriously making me think about using this car park in the future and unfortunately M&S/Aldi, you will miss out on my trade because of this small mindedness, particularly in these difficult times.

Mar 16, 2021

Sent me a PCN for 100 quid because my wheels were on the white line, not even over it. Empty spaces either side. Disgraceful! Absolutely disgraceful. Be warned!

Feb 28, 2021

Just watched your car park attendant park on the lines whilst she went off giving the two people next to her a ticket for doing the same as she did! Absolute joke! When confronted she just shrugged her shoulders and drove off! So unfair on those people! She was Parked worse than them!!!

Feb 23, 2021

My wheel was slightly outside of the white lines in an empty car park. They fined me £100. great way to loose 3 weeks of food in already desperate COVID times.

Nov 21, 2020

My car was within a bay, but the front tyres were just outside the white line at the front. Not on the road way. They sent me £100 fine for being 6 inches out of the line. Absolutely ridiculous, a great way to rob someone who only has £300 a month for food and running costs. I hope they choke on my money

Parking at Gatwick Airport

Gatwick airport consists of two terminals, South and North, both of which have a number of short and long stay car parks.

Passenger pick-up and drop off

Cars picking up passengers will be directed to use Short Stay car park 3.

Short-term stay

If you are parking at Gatwick for just a few hours then you will need to park in a short stay car park. Both the North and South Terminals have their own short stay car parks which are operated by NCP.

The short stay car parks are connected to the terminals, with only a short distance to walk to the terminal entrance.

Long-term stay

Some of the best prices for long stays at gatwick are offered by BCPAirparks and Courtlands

If you are staying for more than a few days, you will need to use one of Gatwick's Long Stay car parks which are situated around the terminals (expect transfer times of approximately 10-12 minutes).

Gatwick long term parking at the South terminal
The most popular long stay car parks at the South Terminal are Parking Express GatwickPark Plus Gatwick and Summer Special Parking Gatwick.

Gatwick long term parking at the North terminal
If you are looking for long term parking at Gatwick airport for a trip departing from the North terminal then Gatwick NCP Flightpath and Gatwick Holiday Parking are the main car parks. Both of these car parks are situated slightly to the north of the terminal.

There are discounts upwards of 50% available when you pre-book long stay car parks.

Valet Parking

Valet parking is also known as meet and greet and is a very convenient type of parking.

Gatwick airport valet parking allows you to drop your car off on the terminal forecourt and have it delivered back to the terminal forecourt when you return. The valet service is available at both South and North terminals.
