WARNING: Do not park here. Your car windows and paintwork may be damaged by lime deposits.
It seems to have a problem with water dripping through the concrete onto cars. I parked there for a day out and returned to find my (less than year old) car covered in lime deposits. These do not wash of and require chemical removal - if it works. If it doesn't work then it requires glass and plastic to be replaced and the car respraying - an expensive insurance claim.
The council told me to submit an insurance claim form to them, and then responded saying it takes them up to 90 days to decide. If I had parked the other way round the car wouldn't have been drivable because it would have completely obscured the drivers side of the windscreen. I presume they would still have said I had to wait 90 days.

Such a narrow and tight car park. In some places you'd have to make a u turn and hope no one is behind you. It's more of an after thought than a purpose built car park.

Inexpensive by Brighton standards, although £8.40 for 4 hours still ain't cheap! Very convenient location, very easy to drive to, and it was easy to find a space. The entrance is quite steep and quite narrow though.

This car park is open but I am not sure I will use it again. It's under a council towerblock. Limited signal to use phone parking and got spat at and threatened by gang as I left.
Certainly won't use it alone in future

This car park is closed again from 31/8/11 until mid/end September so please be prepared to have to go elsewhere. Although this is a cheap place to park, it stinks of urine and is very badly maintained, so let's hope the council are making it a nicer and safer place to park.

As at 8.4.11, Brighton High Street is open again!

This car park is currently closed as at 1.3.11. So please check before going there!! The car park itself was very convenient for my customers at my self-catering apartments so it is a shame it has gone. However, it is very dingy and dodgy. But at 10 pounds per day the price at least was a hit! Hopefully the council are doing it up???!
