Years ago, I parked in the cinema car park. I was aware from the signs, I had to register the car. I asked a member of staff for help. I was told , "just put your reg in". I did, just put my reg in, and I recieved a fine. I hadn't pressed enter, I wasn't I formed to do so, and I am not IT savy. I was not happy.

Trying to find Morrison car park as visitors to Leicester, no indication saying we needed to pay! Just received a 60 quid fine !

Disgusting. Unclear confusing signs make no sense, and meter didn’t work. Used on-site facilities yet still charged 60 quid. Appeal refused because they’re cowboys. Disgusting.

Went to the cinema for my birthday, little did I know two weeks later I'd be receiving a parking fine, ruining what was a good day. As others have said there is little to no signing stating it's paid parking, and the cinema staff seemed all to content to keep it quiet too. Almost received the letter making it "only" £60 too late. Thanks ParkingEye, you criminals.

Would be 0 star review if that was possible. No clear signs and no instruction from staff at restaurant re pay & display or inputting number plates. Thieving and unethical

£100 fine for going into Costa for a coffee. I didn’t see any obvious sign for having to pay for parking. Avoid this car park!

May 15, 2023

I visited the Local Hero pub for dinner however, I received a £60 parking fine despite there being no clear signs I needed to pay for parking. Apparently this could have been avoided if I had entered my car reg at the pub however, I did not see any signs for this and no staff member advised that this was required either. Very disappointing and ruined the whole experience!

Yes, we went to watch movie and no clear instructions about parking charges and got charged £100. This is ridiculous

Mar 11, 2023

I dropped off someone at this car park and then left. Literally just driving through was enough for them to send me a £100 fine. As others have said, there is no clear signage about it being pay & display. Clearly designed to catch people out. This practice should be outlawed.

1 star as u can't give no stars. Paid for 3 hours to so I could drop some clothes off to my father who was in the royal infirmary having had a major operation in September last year. Me and my daughter literally walked there gave the bag to a nurse and walked back so 3 hours ample time today I've recieved a final notice demanding payment of £170???havent had any other info given or previous letters. Absolutely disgusting, been on phone for 40 mins now trying to sort this out

Disgusting service. I went to the cinema and there was no clear signage to state that I needed put my registration in. No one at the cinema informed me of this. I appealed and provided evidence of being at the cinema with a receipt ( which provided date of purchase) which was not accepted by the appeals service.

Parked up to use Mcdonalds with my son. It all seems linked and has no idea that you couldn’t park there to use facilities all in the same area. Terrible for the businesses in the area people must be put off all of the time.

Feb 8, 2022

went for a meal and cinema. Saw no signs that I had to pay, and the restaurant and cinema never mentioned it or offered validated parking. £100 fine

Dec 23, 2021

It says 2hrs free parking so why get a fine in the post. Boycott the carpark from now on.

Nov 24, 2021

Utter thieves. Sinage was absolutely not clear nor present. Popped into Morrisons and have been slapped with a £60 fine, having no idea I couldn't park there.

Nov 12, 2021

Terrible. Didnt see anything about paying and went to the cinema. Never told we had to pay. Result. £60 fine. Cowboys.

Nov 11, 2021

Yet another shower of sneaky car park robbers, avoid the place and all the businesses there that enable it.

Nov 11, 2021

Only given 1 star as you can't post 0! Seems we too have been set up like everyone else - none of the meters were in use - blank screens - and there were no visible pay by phone notices so we have been hit with a £100 ticket! No cars in the car park had a parking ticket so they must have made a fortune that night! DO NOT USE THIS CAR PARK!

Try to avoid at all costs, was trying to look for Morrisons car park and parked up to see what route I needed to take. I have now been hit with a £60 fine.

Jun 11, 2021

Absolute scam. Machines didn't work, signs are purposely made hard to read. They try to catch people out, absolute extortionate company. If anything they should be taken to court.

May 29, 2021

Paid the ticket but still being taken to court for unpaid ticket. The fine? £175. What a scam. If you park here take a pic of your ticket displayed in your car. I don’t know how this is still allowed to happen. The government should force such ‘private’ parking places to install barriers. They have anpr. They harass people. Jokers.

Apr 21, 2020

Avoid this car park. Went into it to look at my sat nav as I was lost in Leicester and needed to find the car park for the hospital. I received a £60.00 for the 5 minutes I was there. Unfortunately there seems to be no regulations to stop owners of private car parks making money through exploiting a drivers need to park up for a necessary stop. I shall never use a parking eye car park again.

Jan 31, 2020

Absolutley shocking, entered the car park to park safely for my wife to change our new born sons nappy and for 11 minutes we have a fine and now being taken to court for £175. Shameful company, no way to contact them either. Disgusting and whoever runs this company should be ashamed with their dishonesty and ethics.

Mar 11, 2019

As of Dec 2018 this car park has no advertisement consent therefore £100 penalties can not be issued to the driver

Jun 19, 2018

As above. Cowboys. Glad law is changing soon.

May 27, 2017

Went in to park, got a phone call from boss. Had to go back to work. Stayed in the car park for 11 minutes, sitting in car with engine running the whole time. £60 fine!!! What a ducking joke. Hope these bastards go out of business!!!

Jun 19, 2016

Signs are deliberately poorly worded, so you will get a fine - i.e. don't mention charge you from entrance to car park, not from when you pay at the ticket machine. Please avoid - a fucking joke.

16 minutes late charged £60 Avoid at all costs as operated by ParkingEye
