No overnight parking.
I’m not from this area and parked here. Ticket does not have closing time on it and I got back to car park just after 6pm to find shutters down and no access to car park at all. Tried ringing number on the tariff board just went to voicemail. Rang police they couldn’t help as no alternative numbers or any info on security company who could be called upon so had no choice but to leave and ask a friend to come and pick me up. The website www.parkviewshoppingcentre.co.uk advises access to car park via shopping mall is available 1 hour prior and 30 minutes after shop opening times. Iceland is incorporated in this shopping centre according to the website and they close 7pm and Sainsbury’s also listed as part of Parkview shopping centre advertises to close 2300 so by information on their own website this means car park should be open until 2330?
No obvious signs to let public know what time the car park closes. My car is now stuck there overnight, rang the contact number which kept hanging up on me. I went inside to speak to a member of staff to see if they could give me a contact number, the cleaner was very abusive and shouted/swore at me telling me "my kind wasn't welcome here". Rang the police who then tried to get in touch with someone to open the shutters but to no avail, not sure how I'm supposed to pay for this now as the only sign I found says no overnight parking
Should be more obvious signs to day closing times for car park. For such an early closing time that needs to be obvious! Had to find alternative way home and back which cost a lot of money!
I refer to the review above about the lost ticket. Friends of ours were at a funeral yesterday (4/9/2018) when they went to get their car the car park was all locked up which meant their car would be there all night. They went to pick the car up today
Absoulouty disgusted with the people who run this car park. I had my elderly parents with me Christmas week last year. One was in a wheelchair the other has dementia. We accidentally lost our parking ticket and had to pay £10 for 45 minutes. The man on the phone was a disgrace to the company he had no compassion at all. It was a genuine mistake. Will never park there again.
My car is stuck overnight in this car park. There was no obvious signs to say what time the car park closed. When I phoned the number on the notice board I was met with a load of abuse and the “gentleman” in question informed me that he was “now board with the conversation” and hung up. I am very angry and upset by this and have informed the local police.
