I've just received a fine notice. I entered the car park at 16:02:17 and paid £1.00 which covers up to 2 hours. The carpark is free from 17:00 so why have I been sent a Parking charge notice!!! I have sent an appeal email

I personally think what this company is doing is criminal, if you are not local you definitely will not know that parking here is not free, no visible signage and charging in an open retail park in the UK? That's ridiculous! I will never go close to that retail park again. Got 100 quid parking fine, according to them the signage are visible. The relevant authorities should investigate this company.

New to area and no clear parking signage anywhere. Visited on rainy grey day. Just charged £60. Retailers should also notify shoppers to ensure parking is paid. It clearly isn't noticeable.

I parked on this car park, and did not display a ticket but was happy to pay the initial charge of £60. The parking ticket was sent to me after I had left to America. Therefore, I did not receive the first, second or third notice. I returned home early, in late January instead of May. At this point the fine was £160. I advised the company I had not been in the country for any tickets and had just seen them. I sent proof of flights & date stamped things showing I was in America when notices were issued. Ocean Parking refused to lower the fine for me, even though I said I am happy to pay the £60 first charge as this was the first instance I knew I had a ticket. If I had been home when the first notice arrived I would’ve paid it straight away. Instead I have been charged full price for not receiving notice

Absolute criminals. No signage visible (there were two of us in the car) on boxing Day. Not from the area so didn't know. Apparently as it was a Monday and they charge for Monday's I had to pay. Never again

Just received a £100 fine after parking for 30 minutes in a designated disabled spot and displaying all relevant paperwork. Never had to pay with blue badge in a disabled slot before. Shocked!,

Much like others, I didn't see any signs for paid parking and it's a RETAIL PARK!! Charging for parking when you are shopping in the retail park is ridiculous! I'll never use these shops again. I don't like how busy Trafford Centre is, but at least the parking is free! Disgraceful!

I would never shop again in this place again you can not see the sign to say you have to pay it used to be free all street shops are dying if they do this they well lose customers. Never ever again shop there. I will tell everyone not to ship there.

I was in a rush and didn't see any notices saying this is a pay for car park - considering it is a retail park, one would expect free parking and got a fine! I will never shop here again - if these centres want to attract customers, in day an age of dying out street retail, charging for parking is not only outrageous, but also counter logical. Worst thing is, the shop didn't even have what I needed.

Just got a blue badge went to wilko and home bargain left my badge in the window park in disable bay received two fines for £100

Got a sign for 9.30pm to 11.30 pm on the peel centre go figure even though I read its free after a certain time and I'm a food deliverer so I'm an essential worker waiting for spaces

Just received a parking fine, I didn't see any pay and display signs!!!! To park on a retail park! I've never not paid on a pay and display. This is more a covert display and make people pay a fine! Never known anything like it! First and last time I will visit there, absolute daylight robbery. Stockport should be ashamed!

Paid £1 for 2hrs, only parked for 25mins , received a £60 fine going up £100 if not paid in 14 days , even on the fine it's show that I was in there for 36 mins , robbers never park there again ,BE VERY CAREFULLY

I drove to the store, parked and bought the ticket in the machine. I left it in the car, and after a week they sent a letter with a 100f fine, for no fee, luckily I left the ticket, but my vehicle number is not on the ticket

Out of town retail parks are usually free. Beware as this one is not, as I learned to my cost. Signage clear? Of course, that's why 2 of us missed it (and I can see from comments I'm not alone)

Parking fine for when machine wasn't working outside KFC. Appealed it and said machine out of order. They said I should have walked over to outside Tkmaxx to get a ticket?! There two separate car parks for a start! Ridiculous, I HATE parking here

Totally disgusted in this parking centre and they way they handle parking I paid for a 2 hour ticket and got back to my car 6 mins before it ran out. I thought nothing as we were back in time ( was a standard joke as we were running back to car making sure we were not late) but then weeks later received a fine saying I hadn’t bought a ticket. I rang and told them where I had parked , the machine I used and how long I was gone for They say the parking time is when u drive in from the main road to when you leave the main road ????? So basically they don’t take the time to look at how long it takes to find a space, walk to a machine ( which one didn’t so had to walk to another) go back to car to put ticket on and then getting back to car to getting out of the car park ( which is packed ) It’s a joke. I alwasys look at the time I am due to be back ( from the time it says on the ticket !!!!) and I was back in time by 6 minutes. Therefor I will dispute this for however long it takes as they are wrong

DO NOT PARK HERE!! Hidden/very cleverly placed signs for pay and display in what is a standard ‘retail park’ (normally free parking). Had to pay £60 fine as camera on way in and out. Robbery, devious ‘Care Parking’ company.

Do not use this car park if you do leave at least 10 mins to get out if your on the road out and are 1 min over you will be fined.

No star is deserved for this place. There’s no parking notices, and between us it’s ridiculous to charge for a retail park. As far as I could see from the comments here, will have to pay this amazing fine of £100 which I received nearly close to the expiring date to pay £60. Never ever will shop there again. Robbers! Can’t believe during a global pandemic they are still sending fines out. You can’t use the pay and display obviously because you have to touch it so one of the options it to pay via the ringgo app. Didn’t take my phone, shopping for elderly grandparents that can’t go out themselves. Not even a week later got a penalty charge in the post for £100. Due to this pandemic I along with many others have had my wage cut due to not being allowed to work because of the nature of my job. I can not afford to be going this out.

how is someone disabled supposed to traipse round a car park looking for a working meter? Disabled bay outside the range, meter 200 yards away! Assumed it would be free for disabled as it's a pound for able bodied. Why are SMBC letting these sharks get away with these fines? Lived in stockport 60 years, last time i go Peel centre. Would be no stars if it would let me!

Been shopping here a few times. Never seen a sign anywhere and never got a ticket. Then got one today.. To say I am shocked is an understatement.. Went here to visit the Range as there is not one in my local area. I have never paid for parking in out of town retail.Imagine my horror when 10 days later I received a parking fine. I honestly didn’t see parking notices but having read the reports above I think I am just going to have to pay.I feel like going back to see exactly where the parking signs are located but don’t want to risk getting another ticket

Will never shop there ever again due to parking ticket. Even though i paid for 2hrs and left 1hr 30minLucky i kept my ticket.it took 3hrs of emailing to prove my innocence. They are just greedy scammers. This is twice its happened so i never shop there now and i use to twice a week.dont do it ...you have been warned.

Never usually use do to bad reputation but as it's free on sun thought I would chance it Big Mistake!! Parked in disabled bay but with stress of getting mum out of the car and into her chair I left her badge on the car seat and got a ticket went and explained the situation at the office and showed the badge but still had to write and appeal which was a waste of time as still had to pay fine this car park is a total disgrace I will never return i go to retail park at Ashton instead free and much bigger and better

Most expensive KFC ever £100.00 due to a parking charge. Majority of our wait was at the counter. New to the area, tipping down with rain and we never saw the parking signage. Plus I’ve never paid for parking in an out of town retail park before. I think I’ll in future stop off at the Trafford Centre for a quick bite. Talk about deterring customers.

Brutal, insensitive, awful company who rip people off at all time. I do not shop there anymore although i live around the corner. I travel the extra mile and go to Trafford Centre where parking there is FREE and can enjoy your shopping trip.

We we’re told off the attendant , that it was free after 5, he said wait 3 minutes ( the tickets kept getting stuck). , he said you get 15 minutes lienience Got £100 fine today, one way to scare an 84 year old? Thanks not

All the other reviews tell you to be careful, I would simply advise avoiding parking here at all costs. Excel Parking WILL find a way to trick you into "breaching" their terms and conditions and they WILL harass you for months on end for ridiculous amounts of money.

Make sure you put your reg in correctly, and buy a ticket. Excel Parking Services run this and they are brutal. Had a PCN from here myself parking at KFC and took months of effort to get it overturned. If you forget or can't pay and you've been in the car park for more than 15 minutes then phone them and say you couldn't pay or machine was broken and wouldn't accept your money and they will whitelist you so you don't get charged

ALWAYS KEEP YOUR TICKET! Ticket machines have been known to misprint the vehicle registration number resulting in shoppers receiving a Parking Charge Notification from Excel Parking Services even if the ticket was purchased!
