An outrageous system, having to regularly pay on top of your gym membership. Often the machines don’t take card payments and gym staff can’t help. Ridiculous.

This is an outrageous system! You pay your monthly gym membership and then have to pay parking on top of that! I went to the gym as a guest today and both of the machines weren't working for card payments. I was told by the 2 receptionists I would have to take my chance of a fine as the gym doesn’t own the car park, the council do. I ended up missing the class and having to ask for a refund due to the time this all took. Another woman - who pays £35 a month membership- said she would have to miss the class too as she didn’t want to risk a fine! What a ridiculous system! Tameside wellness centre is working out just as expensive as a private gym if you’re a member paying parking for each visit! What a barrier to getting people fit in the area! This system and model needs changing! Members shouldn’t have to pay for parking and Tameside wellness centre shouldn’t lose money if they refund their members! And there should be a system if the machines aren’t working as the staff in the building couldn’t help!
