I live in Southampton and don't have to pay at our Tesco car park. I had just driven for 5 hours ( 287 miles)to see our daughter and Grandson. We were tired after the long journey and my wife who is not in good health after a stroke. We decided to buy some Easter eggs and clothes for our Grandson we spent over £ 70 in the Tesco store. Unfortunately we didn't get pur ticket validated. So because we were 5 mins over the 2 hours have received a fine. We have never been to Hull and will never be returning. What is upsetting is my wife actually asked a member of staff about parking as it's in a busy shopping centre and no one told us about the procedure. We paid by cash and have no longer got the receipt as we didn't get the penalty notice until 10 days later. We tried to appeal but it's been rejected. So now we've been charged £20. Thats £4 a minute. This is ridiculous. I feel sorry for the people of Hull.
