Car park was small but can't fault the staff who helped when I lost ticket and wasn't able to get out they were amazing very friendly and very helpful

This car park is absolutely atrocious. The worst car park I’ve ever parked in by a mile. If your car is bigger than an original mini or a Smart car you’ll struggle to park. The bays are far too thin. There are pillars everywhere. The corner turns are incredibly tight so if you have a long car you can’t possible get it round without hitting the wheels on the central barrier or the side of the car off the side barriers. The pay machines are impossible to find and the stair wells were full of rubbish and filthy. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Not height enough, I open my boot and it touched the ceiling. I have a lovely scratch now. A warning would be nice.

This carpark highlights just how BIG cars have got over the years - it was designed way back when, for 70's,80's cars and is just not suitable for this generation of modern cars - I bounced not too big 3 series off both sides of the exit ramp. Avoid like the plague or face a couple of hundred pound in alloys refurbs.

The worst car park I have ever been in. I took pictures, one bay has a waste pipe in the entrance - how to you get in there. We drove a Yaris in tonight and even the aerial on this SMALL car was hitting the roof. I’m glad we didn’t go in my 4x4. They bays are too small, the ramps don’t have enough clearance and the pay machines are both a joke. Hiding them, then you did them and they broke! Do Not Use this care park!

AVOID this car park! The ramps are too tight for large cars, I scratched the side of my car going down the ramp and the spaces are far too tight

Never known such a awful car park, pillars every other car space which are huge so very limited space to actually park your car, where is the signage for your ticket machines! Extremely tight driving up & down ramps with raised metalwork so be careful!

Clamped my car when I parked in the same way with others. Rubbish

NOT suitable for a large car.. Cinema carpark but you still have to climb two lots of stairs.

Worst car park in the land, it's a car park that doesn't like cars. Lots of very tight ramps and pillars in just about every space meaning you can't actually get a car in unless it's a smart car. Part somewhere else don't risk damaging to your car.

Same Problem for me: machine asked for £2, paid it and got a Parking charge notice. Appealed to parking eye was refused on the grounds that "insufficient time was paid for". But the machine decided that, not me! Am now appealing to POPLA.

DO NOT PARK HERE. I parked to go to the Cathedral and was away for 2 hours and 40 mins. On return machine out of order. Went to another machine which was working and stated two pounds when I put in my registration, which I paid in cash and exited car park to then receive a fine from Parking Eye which I appealed against and lost. I would advise never to use this car park... I am yet another customer of many it seems to receive a fine for paying an amount as requested from the machine... total con f you ask me. Will not be parking here again and will make it my mission to tell as many other people as I can not to either! It’s about time they read the reviews and did something about their customer care... change your machines!!! Shocking !

Avoid this car park; as stated in an earlier review it is set up to extort money in fines. I received a demand for a £100 excess charge, despite having paid the amount indicated on the parking machine. Subsequent correspondence and investigation suggests that this is a common practice with this company. Stay Away!

Dreadful car park. Paid after parking and got a parking eye fine. When I rang guy said had I not kept my ticket as it proof. Who keeps a ticket after a week!!! Funnily enough the ticket turned up in the bottom of my bag, how delighted I was able to tell parking where to stick their fine where the sun didn’t shine! Also none of the machines work. Only Positive is it’s well located.

I wouldn't rate this car park rubbish got a ticket for 10 minutes as machines wouldn't except money or card unreal

This has got to be the WORST car park in the North East of England!! Unfortunately I HAVE to use it in my work, as I have to carry boxes to the Passport Office next door, and as I have no guarantee of my length of stay, I need to use a 'Pay On Return' car park. This car park has two ticket machines - it is a miracle to find them both working at the same time. The 'Notes' facility on both machines are forever faulty. Today, one would not accept my £10 and the other was out of order. The Wilkinson's store must make a killing from people buying unnecessary purchaes JUST to get some change for the machines that are supposed to take notes. As usual, my money passed Wilkinson's security measures with flying colours! You have maybe a 50/50 chance of getting a receipt too. Luckily, my employers now accept my claims without the evidence, as they know how bad the car park is! If you need to park in the centre of Durham, AVOID this car park like the plague! The Prince Bishops car par park is just on the opposi
