Disabled patients / visitors should report to Security before they leave, with their blue badge for ticket validation.
i parked in car park C as there is always spaces, on leaving i paid at the main entrance by card it was just over 3 hrs the cost said £5.50 got home checked my account and found i had been charged £8.05 its supposed to be £8 max, i cannot seem to find anything on line to challenge it or is that done on purpose so you pay absolute rip off
I remember when parking charges were first introduced, it was 50p an hour so reasonable. But then they raised the prices. My daughter went into hospital fir the weekend. If it wasn't for the blue badge, I would have paid £28! It is extortionate bearing in mind you can stay virtually all day in town for £7.90. The 20 minutes free is a joke, especially if you go at a busy time, you can spend that 20 minutes just trying to park. The first hour should be free. I have to laugh in one sense, as the reason given at the time for introducing parking charges was that people were parking there all day going off elsewhere...why? It's not as if they were right in town! They justified their charges as to keep in line with other hospitals...those London hospitals no doubt! Rip off merchants....now charging disabled people as well, those who through no fault of their own have to go!.
Absolutely disgusting the charges, I was there this evening just over the hour, bearing in mind my mother is nearly 80 and it may have taken her a little longer to walk to the other side of the hospital to see her husband, my father. You really need to address this issue as I can not stress enough how cross I am about this, I have no issue paying a reasonable parking charge, you also need to bear in mind you can not get into the hospital until you show tests, masks, that all takes time. Your loved ones are in hospital and you are robbed by your parking company.
I went to hospital for blood test it took just under the hour but still have to pay for 2 hours it is a complete rip of by the N H S.
I ws in the hospital for 18 min. Looked at my phone when I got ticket, then again at pay machine. Said I was 24 min. So not free. The machines don't match up. Rip off and fraud
