Always very busy, it is rare to be able to park on a normal day before 4 pm. Even worse at night time, because parking there for a meal down in the Bigg Market, we returned to have a parking ticket for £70! We never park there in the evening and believed it was still free. There should be more signs to warn people. It is apparently a taxi rank after 6.30pm. Not ONE in sight when we returned to our car! How are disabled people supposed to have a nice family night out with nowhere to park in streets near to their chosen restaurant. Bigg Market has very few parking places, many loading bays which are not used in the evening. Newcastle Council really hate cars....

Motorbike parking:

There are three free motorcycle parking areas at the Freeman Hospital,  the first is located via the main entrance to the Hospital keep on that road which bears left (Main Out-patients is to the right) car park on the left, the second is further down the same road again car park on the left and there are bays in  the multi storey car park.
