AVOID AVOID AVOID!! I would give zero stars if I could. The road surface of the car park is a disgrace and I received a fine which I tried appealing but they wouldn’t accept but it seems to be the common theme of feedback from this car park and the company that supposedly ‘manage’ it, the least they could do with the money they are making from fines is resurface the car park.

I recently received a parking fine for using Excel Car Park at Providence Street. The machine although in situ is signed to notify you that it is out of order. To pay your are directed to use a 3rd Party App that Excel take no responsibility for (response) to my PCN appeal. After entering my payment details and using the app to pay I was given no receipt which I was not informed the payment failed. 2 weeks later I received the fine for failure of payment. I have been to CAB but don't have ground for further appeal. Absolutely disgusting. Rip Off company avoid and tell all you know to steer clear.

Terrible they have decided to charge me a fine even though I tried to pay the machine doesn’t work. They are absolute crooks. They won’t even look into my case. Absolutely ridiculous. Do not park here at all

Avoid this car park as others have said you cannot pay and display and the app does not work. Tried appealing and got no where.

This is not a pay and display car park. There is no machine to pay. The excessive amount of information that is required after downloading an APP takes ages to enter. Payment was mysteriously not taken at the time even having filled all the information leading to £100 fine. Works out at £50 per hour - robbery and the state of the car park is poor to say the least. Parked here and the ticket machine wasn't working. Went to the car park over the road as instructed and paid for 12 hours. I displayed my ticket on the dashboard. Was parked for 5 hours and 10 minutes so had nearly 7 hours left. I've received a letter today saying I need to pay £100 fine

This company robs the hard working citizens of Wakefield by making it impossible to purchase a ticket online within the allocated time slot! I have the most common parking apps on my phone none of which are used by this non-scrupulous company. Used the qr code on their screens to purchase my ticket and it took 20 mins to complete the transaction. This is done on purpose to maximise fines on customer. The car park itself is poorly maintained potholes galore. Save yourself the pain and the fine and park across the road in the council run car park that uses a very straight forward app that takes 20 secs to pay!

Parked machine wasn't working recieved parking ticket today had to go across to other meter to purchase a ticket and they then funded me 100 pounds said I didn't display ticket absolutely disgusting

Do not park here! Pay and display machine did not work. Complicated system to buy a ticket on phone and Internet. Took me 20 minutes to purchase a ticket and still got fined because tickets have to be purchased within 12 minutes of entering the car park. Thieves!

My advice is to avoid this car park, it is a disgrace. The car park is full of deep pot holes. The cash machine was not working, by the time I had downloaded the app and entered my details I had gone over the 10 minute grace period by 7 minutes and was landed with a £100 fine. The financial report for Excel Parking talks of 'providing the motorist with an enhanced parking experience and encourage repeat business' - absolutely not, I will never go near this car park or any car park managed by Excel again.

Really awful carpark. I paid for my parking. When it was about to run out I rang the number again twice to top up funds but it wouldn't work. The machine itself was broken so absolutely no way to actually pay. Needless to say I was fined for going 7 mins over my parking time. I will never park here again and will avoid excel carparks generally.

Disgusting customer service. Parked here 3 times and each time the machine has taken extra coins off me as it doesn’t seem to recognise all of them. Called customer services as I put in £2.40 for 2 hours and was given 1 hr. Man on the other end couldn’t speak English properly so very difficult to understand, ended up putting the phone down and parking somewhere else.

Absolutely disgusting to charge people £100 when their machine isn't working it is not the public's responsibility to call them and tell them,this is there responsibility to maintain there own machines they have wardens for a reason utter disgraceful to charge this when people are struggling and can't afford to live.
