Really cramped spaces even for a Ford fiesta. Parked here for the first and last time today, £15 for just over 5 hours. There are other suitable, cheaper car parks to use in Norwich centre.

Carpark attendant very unpleasant. Returned after a lovely night out in Norwich, do not know the area on holiday here, when we asked where we pay we where met by an unpleasant man working in the carpark telling us we had entered the carpark the wrong way. Spoilt a nice night out! Please work on your customer service! This man clearly is in the wrong job.

Visiting Norwich for the first time had a lovely evening until returning to St Giles carpark, asked car park attendant where we needed to pay and was met with rudeness about being told we had entered the carpark on foot the wrong way, it was very late and just asked where we needed to pay! Did not no the area, do not expect any help in this carpark. Will use other carparks in the area For the rest of our stay. Very unpleasant person, carpark needs to work on customer service!!!!!

Spaces very narrow. Small car park in general but very well located next to the street market.

Parking In Norwich

Blue Badge Parking

If you are a car park user and hold a blue badge, you will get an hour's free parking for every hour you buy. For example if you are buying four hours you can park there free for the rest of the day.

  • For pay and display car parks: the free additional time extends beyond the expiry time shown on the ticket.
  • For multi-storey car parks: please take your ticket to the kiosk for validation, prior to departure.

Allocated spaces with level access are available in St Andrews and St Giles multi-storey car parks. Normal charges apply.

Parking spaces on Brigg Street, London Street and Gentlemans Walk have a four hour maximum waiting time limit on them to deter parking all day. All other disabled spaces are not time limited.

Scheme for blue badge holders unable to use the payment machines

If you are a blue badge holder travelling alone and unable to use the wheelchair height payment machines because of your disability, this scheme will allow you to park at any of Council-owned car parks listed below without having to display a pay and display ticket. A valid blue badge permit and time clock must be clearly visible in your vehicle and within two working days you will need to provide the Council with details of your car parking stay in order for the Council to invoice you.

The scheme operates in the following car parks:

  • Chantry
  • Chapelfield East
  • Pottergate
  • Magdalen Street
  • Rouen Road.

Parking on yellow lines

Blue badge holders can also park on yellow lines provided they do not create or cause an obstruction or park in such a way as to affect the safe and free flow of traffic or park where there is a loading ban.

Norwich Shopmobility Norwich Shopmobility offers the hire of scooters or electric and manual wheelchairs with convenient disabled parking nearby; more details are available from the shopping centre websites at Chapelfield and The Mall.
