Another scam of a fine. Spent time in 5 of the shops, even taking a Costa take away so as not to waste time. Moved from one end of car park on the right (Lidl, Halfords) to the other car park (Costa/Currys) and get a fine for being over 2 hours. Little no zero signage, 2 car parks acting as one big one and queues to check out at the stores. Never will we spend money at this retail park again.

Just received a letter for a fine. Have been here often but have never seen a sign. Been here several times recently bathroom shopping which takes a long time - dreading receiving further fines. Not impressed with signage ( as didn’t see any so not obvious enough) or time limit.

Same, went to 2 shops and had a coffee without realising the ridiculous time limit. One place I'll never go back to. Retailers should oppose practices like this as they are losing customers.

Returned from summer holidays to find a letter from Group Nexus suggesting that I was offered to pay a reduced fee of £100. Never received any parking ticket or previous correspondence. Also another letter dated 29th August has come through today from the baillifs, demanding £170 and I cannot appeal. I have been away since July. I don't even know where to start but this is not right. There's no clear signage, nor enough time especially when you have a disabled child and reduced mobility.

Just back from 2 weeks holiday to find the fine letter and past the 14 days to pay less. Will be appealing. Where are the signs- none that are obvious to see. Won't be going to that retail park again, not enough time to shop never mind gave a coffee.

Same as everyone else. No clear signs about parking restrictions. 2 hours not enough time. I never received the first letter and have no received £100 fine. There is clearly a deliberate act in not sending the first letter as too many people reporting the same thing about not getting the first letter.

Very upset to receive a parking fine as I was using the shopping facilities. Parking restrictions are not clear, rather than penalising people for shopping here would it not be better to install a ticket system as 2 hours is not enough for the amount of retail outlets on site :( I will never come here again.

My daughter in tears as fine received after waiting in Costa whilst her daughter did exams at Bedford Girls School. Did not see time limit sign which apparently is often covered. They wonder why Bedford shops are closing. Look no further.

Same as everyone else: I had a coffe and popped into a few shops, only to receive a £100 fine! I didn’t see any signs of maximum 2 hours stay (which is far too short for the above). I will NEVER shop here again. I hope they all go bankrupt.

Like many others, I have been issued with a £60 fine for spending more than 2 hours. This does not encourage anybody to support the shops and coffee shop. I had no idea about the parking restrictions and will not be using this retail park again.

Beware if you have a blue badge you only get 2 hours.

Nexus are a rip off company. I got a fine for being over 2 hours in the car park. I had no idea of the time restrictions. I will never spend much time at this shopping area again. Tesco and Sainsburys offer 3 hours. Why is this retail park not doing the same? It does not encourage trade and having lunch. Bedford is doing itself zero favours!

I too have just been issued with a £100 fine, despite no initial letter being received. I certainly didn't know there was a 2 hour parking limit either. I am completely baffled and upset. I legitimately used the car park for going to the shops and having a coffee at Costa. GRRRRRRrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

As many others, I have received a £100 fine for staying over two hours. This had increased to £100 because I did not respond in 14 days however I did not receive an original letter and this was the first I’d heard about it!!! I did not know if I would be able to appeal without proving I did not receive a first notice about it. Also completely unaware of the two hour parking signs and baffled as to how you are limited to just two hours with the amount of shops AND a costa coffee cafe too!!!!! Won’t be going there again!!!!

I am disabled lady and it takes me longer to walk round the shops, because of my disability I have a parking charge for parking at St Johns parking MK42, this is unfair, if you are disabled please be careful if you park here, the car park is not disabled friendly, you only have 2 hours if you are disabled or not

Ripped off £100 fine, can't find any signs, Bedford shops should be ashamed to let this happen to their customers.

One day I was with my son and lost my sunglasses... I only went to 2 shops so I had to look back but no one found them as I asked. They were a nice pair of glasses so I was so upset for losing them that I didn't realise the time had passed... I got a penalty that made me so upset to never use those shops again. Until they change the times. I will never use that parking... Is ripping everyone offf. If you have a child is stressful so is best to stay away from this place!

This parking Group Nexus are ripping customers off with their poorly sign posted 2hr parking limits. These are stores than rely on the customer footfall to stay in business. Spent £1400 in Bendons and got a parking ticket in the post today. If everybody stops parking on this retail park and avoids the shops something will have to be done to stop Group Nexus taking money from people who can't afford it. The Mayor of BEDFORD should be encouraging trade and not preventing people from taking time to look at and to assess their significant household purchases. If a substantial amount of money is spent at any of the retailers on this park the parking penalty charges should be rescinded. It was a week day late afternoon when I visited this location. There were several parking spaces free. I still got issued with a PCN for £100. Can't rate with zero stars.

What a total rip of Group Nexus are. The major of Bedford should do something about this. Wont be using them again

Like so many other people....2hours not enough time to visit all the shops and have coffee. Plus when you go to pay the fine be prepared for extra £1.50 admin fee. All things considered will be staying away in future.

Like all reviews 2 hours is not enough! Visited from out of down. Even moved my car from one car park (homesense end) to the other end (lidl). A pain but if we leave the car park (onto main road) double back on ourselves and re enter will that restart another 2 hours stay? Ridiculous!

Like other people I have been slapped with a £100 fine for exceeding the - as far as I am aware completely unadvertised - parking time restriction. Apparently I should have paid within 14 days of a notice, but I have received no prior warning of this fine, which is a nice earner for someone. Very unimpressed, will not be visiting the Rope Walk again.

Completely shocked and disgusted to receive a parking fine for shopping here. Will not be returning, as what was meant to have been a pleasant session of retail therapy to spend my birthday money was completely ruined and turned out to be a very expensive trip. £100 fine just for giving you my business ! I was completely unaware time limits had been introduced and had travelled from Northants for a change of scene. 2 hrs is just a ridiculous time limit for the amount of stores and is actually a deterrant and good reason to avoid this retail park in future. Shame on you Bedford !

Spent thousands on poxy carpets and then get lumbered with a £100 parking fine! Have a day off with ya!

Disgusting! Parking ticket for £60 for over 2 hours of shopping and coffee, not enough time allowed for large retail… simple solution, won’t be returning!!! Fuming!!!!

I went into Lidl and b&m and was 2 hours. I moved the car thinking costa was in rope walk car park. I was 2.5 hours and got a fine! Did not know they are the same car parks!!!

I will not be visiting these shops again, there is no where that states you can only stay for 2 hours. With the shops there you spend more than 2 hours, especially whn buying a kitchen

I can’t rate no stars! We had Costa coffee and took longer than expected buying a bed, no option to extend the time so a penalty is issued. Never again, back to St Neots for me! Stay away.

I went to this retail park as a new experience in different town centre and just received a parking fine £60.00 with a disabled friend whod had a badge unfortunately this is mot taken into consideration and 2 hours is not enough if you want to shop and have lunch. No wonder retailers are not getting the footfall and income to keep them into business if we need to keep paying for parking fines.

Suggest you stay clear and shop elsewhere with better facilities. The whole experience is to shop, eat and relax and spend your money within these outlets,not being worried about time and fines.
