Used for a concert at the Academy, good access, reasonable sized bays, a modern multi storey with fair prices

Decent car park 4 EV charging points (3KW) on ground floor by BE. 4 more charging points (7KW) on first floor run by ‘Charge your car’.

Oct 11, 2020

New prices started on 1 October 2020, (15) a day even Saturdays and Sundays. The funny thing is the prices at the gate are different from the ones displayed on the payment machine ( they bothered to write an A4 size piece of paper to announce the new prices. Totally ripped off for the whole weekend !

Used this car park a few times when attending open days at the universities. Easy to find and access, always found a space and very cheap at just £2 for all day Saturday. Also handy for Academy gigs.

The park is too clean, near university, inside the university, one of the best for me. However, it's expensive.

Was very disappointed to find that this car park charged me full week day rate on a bank holiday NOT a Sunday rate. would definitely not recommend this car park to anyone visiting the museum on a bank holiday. felt well and truly ripped off

Parking in Manchester

Off-street (Commercial Car Parks)

Manchester City Council has a joint venture with NCP Car Parks for off-street parking (i.e. commercial car parks) and encourages visitors to use an NCP car park during their stay.

The following car parks usually fill up before 11am:

- King Street West
- Exchange
- M&S
- Market Place

The following car parks usually have space available:

- Arndale and Printworks (over 2200 space combined)
- Grand Hotel (5 mins walk to Piccadilly)

Three free Metroshuttle buses go past most of the car parks and around the city regularly so you can leave the car in the cheapest car park in the city centre for a long stay and don't need to move the car, although this does mean using public transport. Route map on the TfGM website.

On Street (Pay & Display)

On street parking (i.e. pay and display) in Manchester city centre is divided into hourly zones: one hour, two hour and three hour zones.

Further information can be found by clicking on the coloured zones on the map or by visiting Manchester County Council website.
